  1. Having taken a look at the mixed reviews, I truly think that the majority of them are biased and written with an agenda. It's like they're just looking to find a reason to bash the album, from the tired gripe of the sound being oversized and the band not taking themselves seriously, to some ridiculous things like Matt's voice not being clear on Propaganda and Break It to Me, to the lyrics being confusing and stuff like that. It really irks me that it seems like hating on Muse has become a thing among these critics. And the sarcastic tone of some of these reviews, I mean, the nerve of them. Some of them have even talked about how the album will surely divide the fanbase because of all the electronic elements and so on. Oh, please, we don't need you guys to worry about us. We're fine!
  2. Based on the title, I thought, and was under the impression that others did too, that it's a completely impersonal song, with a theme similar to Butterflies & Hurricanes, Knights of Cydonia, Panic Station, and so on. But that tidbit of information proved me wrong, at least regarding the "impersonal" part. Which I'm very happy about.
  3. Wait, what?! We couldn't have been more wrong about this, could we? I admit, the first time that I read the title I was like, " no, Matt, not another one of these." I'm eager to hear it now.
  4. That cover gave me the jitters, but I'm reeled right back in with The Dark Side. Love it.
  5. Man, I wish I was here when Supermassive Black Hole first came out. It surely must have been something.
  6. Many of the positive published reviews should be counted though, like The Rolling Stones, The Boston Globe, Telegraph, Allmusic, and so on.
  7. Yeah, what the hell is up with that? And that Entertainment Weekly review, how can one even call that a review?
  8. He probably meant the whole song, not just the opening moment of it.
