  1. What I find surprising is that TR-8R inadvertently became the new Boba Fett aka character with short screen time that becomes popular. Look him up on google and you'll see what I mean.:chuckle:

    Thanks and it was great.

  2. It's been a fun start to the year. Just been having fun with friends and family during the holidays. You?

  3. Happy New Year!

  4.

It was a really fun atmosphere in the theater with nobody rudely talking. The worst theater experience I've probably had this year was with Mission Impossible with a couple that refused to be quiet. However, I will admit that I got so caught up in the film that I talked to myself a few times.:$

Looking forward to seeing Domhall Gleeson hamming it up in the sequels.

I'm going to be rather annoyed if they give Phasma a Boba Fett-esque type of death in the sequels.:chuckle: Yeah, the Kenobi theory is pushing it a bit. I don't think that would be possible. Another thing is that near the end of the film when everyone is waving the Millennium Falcon goodbye, I was scanning the crowd to make sure that Nien Nunb didn't die in the final battle. Glad that they didn't bring him back just to die.

    Don't worry about it. Thanks!

    Happy early New Year!

  5. Yup and it was awesome.

It's far from the first film this year to be a sort of remake. Jurassic World and Creed were very similar to the first films in their own franchises as well. One thing that I missed is seeing the 20th Century logo before the film. I've always associated that with it. Nevertheless, when the title and music came on the screen, I wasn't the only one leaning forward. It so good seeing X-Wings on the big screen again.:awesome:

Kylo Ren even had a similar hairstyle.:chuckle: Kylo was a great villain in this film. One thing I'm curious about is Snoke. He seems pretty old so I wonder where he was during the original trilogy. That was just something that I kept wondering about throughout the film. It was funny seeing Kylo and Hux fighting for their "dad's attention".

Phasma was a wasted villain, she better have more to do in the next film. She probably is Luke's daughter but I'm not too sure why he left her behind. For a short while I thought that they were the Solo twins. Finn was a lot funnier than I was expecting. Seeing him try to patch up Chewy was hilarious. The trio in general exceeded my expectations. I want to see more of the bromance between Finn and Poe. Yeah, they fooled me too with the marketing in that Finn would be the force sensitive one. BB-8 was fantastic. To be honest, I didn't see the need for C-3PO to return. I was not expecting Adminal Ackbar either.

I wasn't that surprising that Han died since Harrison has been wanting to kill him since The Empire Strikes Back. Also I had heard about a major character dying a few days before. Damn spoilers.

    Merry Christmas! :xmas:

  6. Still not a fan of the guitar dropping. I don't mind Revolt, it's far better than the other two.

Shia Labeouf(?) recently did a live stream of himself watching his entire filmography. I thought it was kind of entertaining while others thought it was a shameless way of getting attention.

Personally, I think that's a horrible assumption that Muse makes about the US and use it justify the setlists. Yet, they play rarities at festivals where are more casual fans.

Star Wars in less than a week.

  7. Yeah, you would have expected more people to show up. I have noticed that ticket sales have been down for this US tour since they did announce it so late. Glad to hear that you had a blast seeing Muse. At least you can say that you've seen Bliss live. I'm going to quickly state two things that I don't like about the show.:shifty: First thing that I don't like about the 360 tour is Matt dropping the guitar for a few songs. Then there is UD and Madness at the same show without Stockholm Syndrome and it has me like

Nevertheless, it's nice that you enjoyed yourself. You should have taken a CE sign. The 360 stage doesn't lend itself to great crowds so that was kind of expected.

    Thanks!

You were probably the only person dancing to Revolt in the dead crowd.

Oh and here's more from my collection:

  9. Have to admit that Gravity hasn't that good on repeat viewings.

You should be good if you come pretty early. I doubt that there is going to be that many people queuing that early. The stage does look visually impressive. However, I have to admit that I'm not impressed with the show and I am kind of glad that I'm not going. I'm going to save my complaints to not damper your excitement.:shifty: Hopefully you do get CE.:yesey:

Still trying to catch up on shows but exams are taking most of my time.

I've been hooked on Neutron Star Collision non-stop for the last couple of days. Terrible but so damn catchy.

  10. 1. Assassin 2. Psycho 3. Futurism 4. Supermassive Black Hole 5. Panic Station 6. Muscle Museum 7. The Small Print 8. The Handler 9. Citizen Erased 10. Apocalypse Please 11. Space Dementia 12. 11. You betcha. Unlike Mark Watney, I did not mind the disco music. Mark could have done a lot worse. Yeah, especially the smaller scale impressive sci-fi films. Have you seen Ex Machina? You might enjoy it. You could thank Gravity for reigniting interest in space films. Kids will probably love space after watching Interstellar/Martian and then become terrified of it with Gravity.:chuckle:

Had no idea that they weren't selling tickets til the 11th. May the force be with you in getting the tickets. That is extremely cheesy but I have no regrets. Only three more days until we find out how the stage looks like. Are you going to try to avoid reading the setlists?

Have not watched Gotham yet. I am slowly catching up on the new Flash episodes. Been busy watching Ash vs Evil Dead and Gravity Falls. Ash vs Evil dead so far has been good and hasn't felt tiresome.

  12. Haven't read the book since I already have enough books with the classes.:noey: I'm a bit late on it but I thought it was great. Personally, I liked the Mars stuff a lot more than the NASA stuff. Mark ate so many carbs with those potatoes. I was surprised that they were able to say fuck twice in a PG-13 film. Sicario was fantastic in my opinion. Emily Blunt and Josh Brolin were great but Benicio del Toro owns it. There was a subplot in it that bothered me at first but it made sense the more that I thought about it. If nothing else, it's gorgeous on the big screen. I'm already preparing for it to be ignored at the Oscars.

Yeah, turns out that I have a final on the same day as the concert and one the next day. So yeah, I'm not gonna go. I am sad about missing AP since it's my number one piano song. It is shameless that they charge 100 dollars for concerts in South America and only play 16 songs.

Congrats on getting tickets. Hope you have fun. Hopefully it's not a pain in the neck(literally). I bought my tickets for Star Wars opening night. Yes, I bought movie tixs two months out.:shifty:

  13. 1. Assassin 2. Psycho 3. The Groove 4. Panic Station 5. Muscle Museum 6. New Born 7. The Small Print 8. The Handler 9. Citizen Erased 10. I Belong To You 11. Cave (Piano) 12. Butterflies And Hurricanes 13. Bliss 14. Unnatural Selection 15. Reapers Encore 16. Overture 17. Dead Star 18. Stockholm Syndrome+Riffs Encore 19. MK Ultra 20. Survival
  14. I've been hearing great buzz about that film too. Might check it out if I have a chance. So you kept up with the science mumbo jumbo in the film? :p I'm going to check out Sicario tonight. I'm hyped up to go see it.

So Muse has announced Cali dates and I'm not sure if I can go. It had to be the night before a final.:noey: Then again, it is a group presentation final so it's not entirely on me. One thing that is making me want to go is this playlist that Muse tweeted out.

I'm thinking of doing what other have said and maybe buy the tickets and then keep an eye on the South American setlists.

I can easily imagine the fields being like that. I don't have a family with me though. Unless my two dogs qualify.:shifty:

You're not alone. I don't know how or why but everyone on the board loves Revolt now.:chuckle:

  15. That sucks but hey you're right that you could always go to the Vancouver one. Yeah, I'm pretty excited about them. My top five films of the year so far are Mad Max, MI5,

, Kingsman and Ex Machina. It Follows hasn't fared that well on a repeat viewing.

I was excited when they announced tour dates for Red Fang but then I saw that their closest show to me was a small early slot at a festival.:noey:

It would be awesome to discover new bands over there. I would love to go to Reading but I don't know about camping. I've heard some stories about camping at festivals.:shifty:

  16. No problemo. Did you end up going to Six Flags? Yeah, Chris Pratt has overexposed pretty quickly. Can't say that I'm tired of him though. Fall/winter is looking surprisingly great for me. I'm excited for Sicario, Legend, Creed, Star Wars and The Hateful Eight. I'm also going to try to check out Crimson Peak, Bond and Mockingjay. I'm definitely going to check out the first five that I mentioned.

I'll calling it now that they'll delay the US tour till next year. Just judging by the lack of announcements.

Been watching videos of Reading Festival from this weekend and it looked so fun. I need to go there one day.

  17. I hope that I'm not over hyping it but it was a exciting summer film. Have fun in Amsterdam! Not a fan of JW? I thought it was a decent mindless summer film. The pterodactyl setpiece and final fight were fun but I couldn't stand the characters. The kids got on my nerves. Direction was flat too and not happy about him landing the SW gig. Oh and then there was the doozy of a military villain.:chuckle:

That's not as bad as horror movie cliches. I can't stand some of those.

I've heard about that and find it strange that they haven't announced anything. Apparently they're doing a UK tour early next year so have to announce it soon. Oh and Revolt is going to be a single. Make of that what you will.

  18. He's definitely an interesting character to say the least.:chuckle:

Good to hear that you enjoyed it. Yeah, I'm not big on musicals either. Thankfully I don't have any family members that enjoy them.

I really liked it. Went and saw it for a second time. Villain was a bit underdeveloped but I didn't mind it. There were some fantastic set pieces in the film. My favorite was personally the opera house one. Rebecca Ferguson was awesome and I hope to see her return to the franchise. Then again, they haven't brought back Maggie Q. I do hope that they bring Maggie Q back for the next one. This film unintentionally takes shots at Jurassic World's heel controversy.:chuckle:
