I'm doing some research for my media studies class on journalism in New Zealand, which is to be underpinned by a small survey (It is only 10 questions long, so shouldn't take more than a minute or two)
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7F2K33N
I need it answered by as many people as possible, hence posting here If you're feeling generous, ask other household members to take it too.
Thank you to anyone who bothers to complete it

Where's a good place to get a reasonably priced suit in Auckland or Christchurch (i'm still a student, so emphasis on reasonably)? Have several occasions coming up requiring one, so I may as well own one instead of hiring each time...
-
A German tourist approached me last weekend to ask where the nearest park was because he 'heard the kiwi thing to do is to get drunk in a park'.
Oh dear :/

Is there a story somewhere? Customers raging is hardly new

From what I heard, you vote whether you want mmp or not (and if not, what alternative), then if mmp is out, you vote between the two most popular alternatives.

The warehouse seems to entering the insurance market. Not into talking business and all that, but they've started selling pet insurance and now life insurance. They've sold travel insurance for years, but... It all seems weird to me.

Looks like the cricket team's about to lose to Zimbabwe in a Test. Hooray.
A win is a win, but that was nearly horrific..

I found out a work colleague was the singer for some band. So naturally I had a listen.

Oh my. He's actually a genuinely nice guy

I couldn't help but laugh at his screw up apparently the National representative for my region is quite legit so he gets my vote
I like how much research you've put into this but I thought you were rather anti-national?
-
...
At the risk of sounding like an absolute insensitive twat, I kind of agree on the whole not being able to be anti-Maori anything, for fear or being branded racist. But, if then you have people like him, so it kind of balances out?

Positive or negative responses?

I would have thought it would be all seated, but maybe not. Usually standing is all one area (general admission), although maybe they'll section it off into two if they expect it to be packed. I doubt it though, Vector is actually surprisingly small inside.
Hmm, oki doki. Thanks
They've put the prices up on ticketmaster ($99 is the cheapest - cheaper than i expected). If you join the Radio Hauraki website, there's also a presale on Monday.
-
yeah I went to buy tickets less than 5 minutes after the sale began, and other than the prestige seats, they were all gone. I ended up paying around 1600 for 2 tickets.
Jesus, I don't think I'd bother paying anything more than $150 (new Zealand dollars), as I'll already be paying $200+ for flights (and my friends wouldn't be able to afford it).
I've never been to the vector. What sort of area should I try and get tickets for? I'd rather not sit :/
-
Ooh sven went to that last year I think, and said it was really good. Might have to look into it
I'd sort it soon. Ticket go on sale on the 10th of July. I've been told it'll sell out in minutes (I don't have enough experience to comment on the validity of that). If you join the ticketmaster website, there is a presale..

The Wall is coming to New Zealand next year... Spaff.
-
Yeah, it deteriorated really quickly after the rain, so hopefully Vetorri (and probably Williamson/Guptil) can get some decent turn... Should be riveting stuff.
-
Yeah, he looks to have some potential in the lower order... only time will tell if he can develop a proper all rounder though (getting a little ahead of myself)... Might just be a Kyle Mills type bowler. The TAB has overrated our chances a bit... But good considering we were at $7 at the start of the day!
-
It's going to be an interesting day tomorrow... It'd be a really impressive victory, but there is still a sniff of a chance.
-
Won't mean much to you north islanders, but Soundwavez was cancelled
Was looking forward to it too.

Exam results. *logs onto NZQA site*
The results reflect my effort. Good in Chemistry and Calculus, the rest are average
Did you get Merit (/exellence) endorsement?

I had the same reaction. Then I burst into tears. In other news, Sky Sport had Cricket Highlights on last night and the description was:
"Highlights of the fourth day of play between the Blackcaps and Pakistan from Seddon Park"
I laughed for a bit.

Not an opinion, but Bellamy doesn't actually
sing falsetto.

Happy new year Moas I'm just back from up north now and I'm hoping for another awesome year! Bad start though, I've been moody for the past two days
Sup, james?

Ugh. Kaiteri is so overrated.
