  1. It's hardly an irrelevant complaint that tickets have gone on sale within 6 weeks of the start of the tour, with high ticket prices. People need time to arrange this stuff. My second-favourite band are touring here next Feb, tickets on sale now and I can't buy any because I can't commit to the dates.
  2. IME (in the UK though) that's not how presales work, they're pretty limited and the better seats seem to be in the general sale (if they're not VIP) which if annoying when you're talking about fan presales!
  3. We don't know that that would be the case yet...
  4. I had rear view (I'll forgo the eyebrows smiley just this once) seats at Manchester, I enjoyed the different perspective, I was sat on the corner behind Chris so I had a great view of what Morgan and Dom were doing, and enjoyed the catwalk runs from Matt and Chris. Yes they were considerably cheaper tickets! But with hindsight I would have paid full price for that seat at that gig, I had fun, like I did at the other gigs I went to where I was on the barrier. If you were on the barrier at the stadium shows for T2L, part of the time you'd have to swivel around completely to see Matt or Chris when they were down the end of the catwalk, or only be able to see one of them at a time, or have a very distant view when they were up on the main stage, depending where you were standing... I think if you go in with the assumption that it's going to be shit because you won't be facing the band for the entire show, then you're either going to be proved correct or be pleasantly surprised. Hopefully the latter, I think, it's not going to be as tragic as some people expect.
  5. if your train goes from Victoria it's a piece of cake, mind you
  6. I was looking at the schedule and wondering how they'd transport between places for some dates, it makes more sense if they're using the less-complicated stage in some places then, but then :-/ for the whole 'show' thing!
  7. Go with the earlier one, then you're in the queue already if it's later?
  8. The best seats for this one are in blocks 115, 114, 102 and 103, I reckon. Closest to the centre of the stage. But as Jobby says, the layout this time will be a decent view for most of the gig from pretty much everywhere (same thing, just less negative ) As for being able to buy tickets near the time, eh I dunno. The only thing I can see is that there might be VIP seats not bought that then get sold at the regular price, and GA tickets might become available if they decide there's more space than originally thought. Either way, if you keep an eye on Musebay you can get tickets at face value and help out a fellow fan who needs to sell their tickets, and I'd rather do that, tbh.
  9. This discussion has been had so many times. I personally have a much better time at a gig when I can clearly see the band and I'm not squished against someone's back. I like to sing and dance/jump along. At the back, I feel awkward about jumping about unless I'm with a group of people, and most of the people I know also like to be at the front! The thing is, it makes no difference to you, really, whether other people prefer to queue up all day or not, so I don't know why you're bothered by it enough to comment.
  10. I'd say keep an eye on Musebay or the facebook groups for the gigs, and twitter, and check nearer the time because prices may well come down if the tickets aren't selling. I've bought from Seatwave before and it was fine, but it irks me because of all the fees and stuff.
  11. there are a few on facebook who've had theirs. I haven't done anything with mine yet!
  12. A few years ago we went en famille to London for a few days, booked well in advance, tickets for The Lion King and cheap train tickets (our wonderful train service is cheap if you time it right, really really expensive if not...) Happened to be the worst weather for years before or since, it was -12C on the morning we set off. We got to London just before the snow and ice brought down the power and signalling cabling at St Neots (iirc), and our train back was just after they'd got it all working again, there hadn't been any trains north for two days. We were so lucky! But yeah, trains can be very seriously affected by snow. It's useful to remember, also, that salt isn't effective below -6C, yes the grit will add a bit of grip but it doesn't have an effect on the ice.
  13. There's Scarlet Mist and Twickets for face-value sales and swaps
  14. There was this one girl in the group in front of me in the queue at Manchester Academy who was really odd, got talking to her while waiting round the back afterwards, had some *interesting* ideas about the band's personal lives...
  15. pretty much! I have a few 'second tier' faves but Muse are another matter, and we know that the show is going to be a *show*... Which is no doubt what's made Jobby shell out
  16. No I have the same problem with people telling others that something is impossible to dislike. But the biggest hyperbole does tend to be applied when there's dislike of a thing, and the inference that no-one should like a thing gets on my tits.
  17. I think it'll be easier to gauge when we know the size of the barrier and where the good spots are, once we've actually seen the 360 stage in action. Bear in mind that some people will be queueing to hang out with friends as much as getting specific spots, so when people say 'I'm turning up at 7am!!' or whatever, don't panic!!
