  1. Showbiz: Sunburn OoS: Space Dementia Abso: Stockholm (this is my favourite overall) BHaR: MotP The Resistance: MK Ultra (US is a close second) The 2nd Law: Panic Station Drones: The Handler
  2. Manchester Academy last year is actually my worst Muse gig, didn't get close enough to the front to be able to stand my ground so spent nearly half the gig trying to not be squashed into someone's back. Followed by Dublin this year, being made to sit down in seats and being end-on to the stage so we didn't get the full effect of the visuals. Leeds was amazing, even though it was fucking freezing. Any gig with Sunburn is going to rate highly for me, so Tuesday and War Child are right up there, WC being special anyway. ETA I remember being so jealous of people who went to the Casino de Paris gig!
  3. you n00b. It rocked. It was massive. Having the seated crowd bouncing makes *so* much difference. Pantsogram were pants tho.
  4. I'm looking and wondering if the seats are VIP Experience only? cos there aren't that many... http://www.forumcopenhagen.dk/en-GB/Information/Map-/-Seatingmap.aspx
  5. This is why if I'm standing I head for the barrier, it helps that I enjoy the crushing when a pit kicks off, haha Which is fine if you're content to stay sat down Because they feel like it, and because Matt's finally realised that he doesn't need to have a prop between him and the crowd.
  6. So jealous of everyone's souvenirs so far! I just got a few drones...
  7. Were you at the same gig as me?! Sunburn made me shit my pants! Also the 'same old same old' is what most people there want to hear. *waves* All of what you said, plus having the best seats in the house IMO, perfect view of the piano and visuals, not too high up, amazing. Actually the friend I was with was pregnant and the bairn was taking exception to the noise, and she'd fought off a migraine earlier... not that anyone should have to justify why they sit or stand to anyone else... Bless!! Woohoo!! So glad you had fun! yeah... I bought seats for this one and Dublin, and standing for the two in Manchester. I wanted the different experience and was going with different people. My daughter's boyfriend isn't a Muser and was going for the spectacle, no point getting a standing ticket for him, also he's 6'summat so someone would have been complaining about being behind the tall bastard... Manchester was great, fantastic mosh, but if you're at the barrier you don't get to see the whole thing. This one, my friend and I both suffer from migraines and dodgy hips and after 3 gigs already I expected to be a bit knackered in my dotage, and then I bought the tickets and she found out she was pregnant. So she stayed sat, and I jumped up and down for the ones that I wanted to jump up and down at. And having been made to sit down in Dublin, I can tell you with some authority, I think, that people standing in the seats makes a HUGE difference to the atmosphere in the gig. Huge. Like I said above though, not that anyone should have to justify why they sit or stand, or buy seats or standing tickets. I could quite easily say 'if you don't want to jump about at a rock gig, watch the DVD' but I won't...
  8. It's so weird how the side with the stairs fills up more slowly than the other side, it's not like there's an actual 'front' and 'back' with this one. Had an ace spot right in the middle, sweaty but not too squashy, ace crowd, it makes SO much difference when the seated sections stand up!!
  9. That went well then! Bugger me that was a belter. As was the night before, mind, but whoa. Madchester.
  10. Well that were alright! TFI's website being a bag of spanners did put a dampener on it when I was stuck there with no bus to the airport mind you...
  11. never on your own at a gig, you're always with fellow fans! Come and hang out in the queueueue beforehand and make some friends though
  12. it's the O2 so it's under cover anyway
  13. Yeah this barrier's massive, unless you're aiming for somewhere specific and popular, it's not hard to get barrier
  14. If you run you're likely to get pulled up by security. Walk quickly. The barrier on this tour is *massive* though so don't worry too much, unless you've been following gigs already and have a specific spot in mind.
  15. Looking forward to Phantogram actually, though I think Nothing But Thieves are a better fit. Wonder if it'll be a bit 'Wembley '10' with the supports being indicative of the setlist??
  16. It's not impossible but it's pretty enclosed where the 'stage door' is.
  17. We had dinner at Odd Bar last time around, I had the all-day breakfast, that was good.
  18. With the current set up, the view will be about the same anywhere, I doubt there's a particular need to get there before doors if you don't want a barrier spot. As for negative/positive opinions on the board, the board is the sum of its parts, I don't see why it's good to not have a balance and variety of viewpoints... It does get wearing and put people off when there's constant harping on about the same perceived problems with what the band are doing. (I'm not saying that I agree or disagree with any particular viewpoint, by the way, just saying that it's offputting...)
