  1. Several mentions of answers from Matt - where are these answers being posted?
  2. I like this one: Do you find it irritating when people approach you during your daily lives to talk about Muse and try to take a picture? That would be what I would want to do if I saw one of you, but I feel that I would be intruding. And this one: And I've got a second question for you. How do y'all manage to stay sane while touring together for so long? Do y'all have any habits that drive each other crazy? And I'm not sure they'll answer this one, but it's an awesome idea: #2 You never thought about re-record an album like Showbiz? The technology is becoming more advanced and with your experience in music, maybe a new Showbiz in the present would be amazing.
  3. While we were waiting for the Dallas gig, the band's manager came out and talked to the front of the GA line. Catherine asked if the band could play Citizen Erased and we all rallied together and practically begged for it. Glenn said he'd ask, but we sure as hell better sing every word so the band could hear, because most of the crowd only wants to hear f-ing Madness. (I'm paraphrasing, but he definitely said f-ing Madness...lol) They hate it when they play a deep cut and the crowd doesn't know it. To me this suggests that we already know the answers to our setlist questions. Muse really hit it big in the US with The 2nd Law. The reason we old schoolers begrudge this is because these new fans (most of them - I know there are new ones out there who don't fit this mold) don't know the older songs or even appreciate the other sounds the band has pioneered over the years. Muse is a ticket selling machine, as much as I hate to admit it. If they play a bunch of songs the audience doesn't recognize, their ticket sales would suffer. The reason they can get away with better set lists in Europe is because they hit it big there a long, long time ago. I'd love to hear answers about their process and behind the scenes stuff as well as looking to the future in terms of fans and music. I'd love to have access to video like they do at Festivals.
  4. Animals is written with 5 beats per measure as far as I can tell. What were your thoughts going into that? Was it deliberate, or did the beat pattern just lend itself to being written that way? SO CURIOUS.
  5. When you pull out an older song to perform on tour, like Sunburn from the 2nd Law tour, or Bliss from the current tour (or Citizen Erased! Thank you for that in Dallas!), do you have sheet music to refresh your memories? If not, how do you get a song like that ready for the stage?
