  1. Hey! Wow, I never log in here, thus the way late reply. Going to Lolla and Indy. Was considering LA Rising until the Indy show was announced. A lot cheaper to just add that on my Lolla trip than to make another trip down to LA. Life has been well. Had a nice last few months following Biffy Clyro around. Even won a contest to have dinner with the band. Good times! How about you? Going to Lolla or any other gigs?

  2. At this point I don't think Muse will be at OL. Seemed probable a while back simply because it became known that a west coast gig was going to take place and you really don't see too many bands play a one off festival gig. Sure, it happens, but Muse as an OL headliner made sense. It would have given them top bill at OL, Lolla, ACL, Voodoo, and Coachella, leaving Bonaroo as the only major US festival not played over the last year and a half. Guess we'll find out tomorrow. And if not, where the heck is this WC gig going to take place? An LA club or maybe the Hollywood Bowl are what I'm thinking. There's still the rumor of Bumbershoot, but I just don't believe that one. Would be great if it was true!
  3. Why can't you see a small LA show happening? Soundgarden played a surprise warm-up gig at the Showbox in Seattle before headlining Lolla last year. Muse is pretty much based in LA and a west coast show around the time of Lolla is going to happen. I don't think it's too much of a stretch to see something like that happening. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather it didn't happen! A bigger show would obviously be ideal. I still think it's Outside Lands, but could be anything really. Yes, even Bumbershoot. Not likely, but certainly possible. My reason for saying Bumbershoot isn't likely is that the organizers typically don't spend the money to bring in huge acts. Muse would command a rather large payday and being that One Real/Bumbershoot lost a ton last year I doubt they have the capital to bring in Muse. Fingers still crossed, though. Muse in Seattle = WIN
  4. Yep, I do have a reliable source that specifically told me two shows are happening this summer. One being Lolla. The other will be somewhere on the West Coast around the time of Lolla. Sorry, no additional info was provided, nor could it be. Make up dates in KC and St.Louis would make sense, and some person that knows his shit posting about a gig in Deer Park certainly sounds nice, but again, two shows. Let's hope Shiner1 is correct and that the info I received has changed. I'd love a pre-Lolla gig and not one in some tiny LA club that only a handful of fans would be able to attend.
  5. I'm not buying this rumor. If there's a warm-up gig it will be on the West Coast. Just saying. Two US gigs this summer, Lolla and one out west. Might not even be a warm-up. Some say Outside Lands. Maybe, maybe not. All I'm saying is don't get your hopes up and start making travel plans based on a post on the Coachella board, later copied to last.fm.
  6. Shelbi, it's still several months away. First thing will be getting a ticket. You have plenty of time to save up for airfare and lodging. You figured it for Cali, you can do the same for Lolla!
  7. I've heard some people talking about/wanting to see a Stockholm Syndrome multi-cam from LA night 2. That one was pretty rad and should be included for it's uniqueness. No idea if there's enough footage to warrant an edit, though. I haven't looked around much and sadly my footage was lost in a recent HD crash.
  8. Great work on the DVD, James. I really appreciate having this to look back at and enjoy all over again. Man, that dude pissed me off. Surprisingly, I was getting a mostly obnoxious crowd-free tape considering my location. At that moment I was looking forward to capture the sound dead on. With Matt behind me and those near me looking back at him I caught that straight into my mics. But yeah, hearing now it now makes me chuckle.
  9. Boo fucking hoo! You can't judge a show solely on what was or wasn't played. I attended 10 Resistance Tour gigs, each one different, yet many the same. The difference being how they played and sounded, the energy, the experience, the mood, and so on. Many would look at the Columbus set as rather boring, but I'd rank that one as one of my favorite shows. Enjoyed it more than Wembley night 1. Not as good as night 2 of Wembley or LA and just slightly behind Seattle '10.

I'm occasionally on auto-pilot at gigs. Thought I had hit record, but noticed my Sony was on record + pause when I checked the levels at the beginning of Uprising. Other than that, this is a rather good quality recording. Hope you enjoy it! Some issues with a virus attacking Google Chrome came up with Megaupload, so I'm going with a few file hosting options this time. It's a jungle out there. Make sure your anti-virus software is current! 11. Hey Leslie,

Back home for a few days now. My flight leaving Ohio was delayed, but all is good now. I'll have Cincy audio available within the next few days. Need to do some remastering work on it, split it up into individual tracks, and upload the files. Should have time to get some work done tomorrow, though think it will be Monday or Tuesday before i have it all ready to go.

Lolla 2011 will hopefully be a go. :)

  13. Dead Disco was on the set. Thanks! Security in my section and on the barrier were telling people not to film. Being that many point and shoots these days don't have viewfinders we have to use the screen to see what we're looking at as well as take a moment to frame/focus. For some reason security just assumes people are then filming! I was never harrassed, but then I didn't hold my camera up too long. Would just do several shots at a time with burst mode, lower camera, and repeat. I'm using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3. Great gig camera as it works well in low light and records in HD with stereo sound.
