I mean, they could be just recording interviews and snippets for the Drones Tour DVD, since we already know it will be half-concert and half-behind the scenes.

Oh, ok, I get what happened. My original comment was intended to follow the "If it makes you feel any better" line, but went way off the mark. That was just a pessimistic remark regarding how this tour felt off and it really made a lot of people unsatisfied about the band, so I tried to say something along the line of "welcome to the club". Sorry for the misunderstanding!

What? I remember reading a lot of complaints that they lacked energy onstage, things seemed to be more about visuals than actual performance, these last festival concerts lacked anything interesting. Am I going bonkers or did I misinterpret everything?

Ever since the Drones World Tour started last year people have been complaining that the band seemed to be on autopilot. For most of these past concerts, it really seemed they didn't give a shit about performance, so your concert wasn't worse than the rest. Just average.

That's what people said about the Asian/Latin American pre-tour gigs, yet they had marginally better setlists than what we are getting now. I wouldn't get my hopes up.

The "screens" are just translucent curtains, the visuals are projected on them. The bit above Dom is just a circular screen, with those weird long lamps that come down for a few songs.

Most festivals I went here in Brazil had their headliners scheduled for 11pm, sometimes midnight.

During a interview not too long ago, Matt stated the gigs in Mexico might not have the full production, so it's possible the drones will change design for the rest of the tour.

However, has the exact same audio, down to the screams and everything, Matt visibly plays the lick and does not go behind the curtain. And on this , the audio is different from the first one. So yeah, someone did some editing.

I'm 5'3 and had a bad time in GA, even on the third row from the barrier. Kinda sucks.
