I really enjoy makeover shows. This could be Gok's Fashion Fix or some weight loss thing.

Feel good mushy fluff manga.
Books that contain a salivating food journey.
Sometimes educational food wise, perhaps global issues (Belching out the Devil)
And I have a soft spot for loser protagonist stories with realistic endings rather than the fairytale fake one. (Don't get me wrong, Beauty and the Beast is my fave Disney film ^_^ )
