  1. hello there, on the other side of the pond.

  2. thanks Turing Machinehead. just looked at that picture and it made me laugh, to think that a grown adult thinks that is real, there is one born every minute, some people should really be taken out of the gene pool for the good of the human race. Anyway im off now to ride the Loch ness monster, then have a beer with Bigfoot!
  3. a funny thind i saw in my local paper the other day was a letter in the letters page from some middle aged man who honestly believes that the world is only 2009 years old and that dinosaur bones are faked, he also says their is a scientific conspiracy to cover up the noahs ark wreck which he claims has been found and hidden. This man actually has the power to vote. scary!
  4. good quote. i think Dawkins is great, i love the way you can see him seething under the surface at the ignorance and stupidity of some of the religous fanatics. You know he just wants to shake them and tell them to open their eyes and look around its all so clear. their are none so blind as those who dont want to see!
  5. yeh im from tavistock, it really is crap for music. I often have to make trips to Bristol, Cardiff and London to see anyone decent. Even when Muse last came to the westcountry to perform it was in cornwall.
  6. Hi im new to this site, only just got online properly. i am proud to be an atheist. its just the rational conclusion that anyone with an open and educated mind would come to. People have a fear of death which i used to have, but have realised over time there is a scarier alternative to death and that is immortality. Death is the off switch that gives life meaning. Once you realise this mortal coil is all there is it is not scary, its freeing, it makes you live the life you want to live without the dogma that wastes the lifes of the religious. Life is beautiful, religion makes it seam like a dirty punishment to be endured. Long live the enlightened atheists, living life, not waiting for death.
