Never actually been to Bellahouston Park either! What's the likely capacity for the gig, do you reckon? I've read 18,000 for the Summer Sessions and 100,000 (which I assumed was for the likes of the Papal visits - though Wiki says 250,000 attended John Paul II's visit).

I saw the Cure at Summer Sessions back in 2019 - sold out, I'd guess somewhere around 25-30k. It's just a normal park with a slope going up from the stage area.

You can get there really easily from Central, quick train towards Dumbreck and then a 10 min walk. Haven't been to MK Bowl since R.E.M. played there but think it currently holds 65k

  2. Got  a couple for Glasgow, price was better and Bellahouston is a decent size venue (as long as it doesn't rain!) and only half the size of MK Bowl which is an awful shithole, dreadful place to see a band.

  3. Great bits: Gallery, Citizen, Stockholm, Assassin. End of song riffing v aggressive :)

Mixed up setlist order made a big difference too.

And Space Dementia was just immense so good.

They all looked up for it.

Shit bits: Not loud enough, sound was bit patchy. High ratio of utter bellends in crowd. Massive police car crash as we crossed the road, looked bad.

    Space Dementia tho :)

Anyone going tonight let me know what time the gig finished as my last train is at 23:30

No support so 8:40 start and done at 10:20ish. Razorlight 2m tho so later finish. Takes ages to get out cos of doors/corridor bottleneck.

from what I’ve seen counting in photos, you’re probably only fitting around ~45 people across the whole barrier

It'll depend on how they configure the stage and barrier - they often bring it right forward depending on the amount of kit and what the band wants. It'll def be more than 45. You've got to remember the squeeze factor for Muse too ;)

Can anyone who’s been to the Apollo before say what it’s like for being able to meet the artists round back after? No go or yes go?

Also you KNOW ya boy got standing both nights and will be on that sweet tasty barrier

Stage door is down the left side of the building, there's normally a security barrier with someone on it. Always a possibility though!

It's a really, really wide stage.

  7. Was hoping to get this for xmas but noticed its either massively sold out or the price has gone through the roof depending where you look. Anyway, after a lot of indie shop hunting I managed to find it new for £115 :)

  8. Prince squeezed his 21 shows into 6-7 weeks, tickets were £31 and it was a different set every night. He played something like 150 songs during the residency, at least once per week he played a completely different deep cuts show at the indigo2 after the main set.

    It was incredible :)

    This'll put Muse on 13ish O2 shows?

  9. It'll be the stadium show with a shorter setlist and a shorter ramp. And that medley. And a bucket list crowd based on their 5 star stadium reviews. Something Human will replace Dig Down.
RAH and Lympics is enough for me this cycle :)

(unless twickets is flooded with bargains, then I'm in!)

Golden Circle - what’s the deal?

So both UK shows so far have a Golden Circle which I’m guessing is primarily for VIP ticket holders. However, according to Twitter on Saturday for the London gig, wristbands for the GC were being given out on a ‘first come first serve’ basis (presumably because they wanted it to look full if not all the VIP tickets were sold?).

At Bristol tonight the GC seemed to be filling up quite slowly. I’d like to try and get in there on Saturday but don’t how straightforward it will prove to be (if it’s even possible). Does anybody know of anyone who managed to get in without a VIP ticket and how easy it was?

If they were been given out to anyone I’m sure those that bought the more expensive tickets wouldn’t be best pleased!

We were in it for the London show, easy to walk straight for about 30 mins afer GA opened. Don't think anyone knew it was allowed and v little mobile signal so news didn't get round..

  11. Once you're in the gc, you can't cross sides because of the B stage ramp. The entrance may not be obvious, there were a lot of stewards who looked they were blocking it in London but they just let you walk past and you get a wristband on entry.

You'll actually be too close to appreciate all the lights etc. We settled for halfway between the stages and a few rows back from ramp to get the best all round view

  12. We've been kettled trying to get out before so we bailed when the harmonica came out.. Bridge 5 to Stratford and DLR to West Ham  - got there b4 11 :)

Crazy twitter footage of the rush for barrier and everyone ignoring the circle, people were still just strolling into the circle on Chris' side at 5.30 :/

  13. It's textbook Muse album tour, no surprises, you know exactly what you're going to get. Thought the new stuff was better at RAH, the Absolution & BHAR stuff was great though - seriously good :)

The medley is still an elongated tease, should just play 2 of those songs properly and rotate them. Better than Drones but still no hype!
