  1. dat jag looks cool, are they actually good sounding guitars? i have never heard one irl btw what about the IronGear PUs? I have two of their humbuckers (RollingMill, DirtyTorque) and i am thinking about getting more.
  2. Crowella the Neil Armstrong of bass fuzzes. That pedal is like the last "mystic" stuff out there.
  3. I think i will post samples, i just have to experiment with it to get some worthwhile samples
  4. it's happening yesterday this ugly piece of shit got turned on for the first time, luckily even my most doubtful/borderline retarded ideas/mods are working too
  5. is the q-tron any good? it seems like it was designed by the mutron guy so it should be good.
  6. lel the best thing is when you turn the resonance@max, mute the two oscillators, turn keyboard tracking@full and turn contour amount@0 instant gangsta:doobie:
  7. Nice! It looks clean like something you can left in the corner of an actual living room or something, when i place my gear in a room it looks destroyed until i remove my stuff from there.
  8. Thanks! My short term plan is to use the modules for filtering guitar and software oscillators from my computer. I gotta make an extra module which makes a gate signal whenever i play a note on the guitar. Then the gate signal triggers the ADSR which controls the filter. I gonna use standard guitar octave pedals and fuzzes to get down to lower octaves and synth like waveforms. On the long term i gonna make some mixers/splitters for some more advanced filtering stuff (dual/triple bandpass filters sweeping different frequencies for vowel sounds etc.) and gonna get a VCA to get out different attacks and stuff from the guitar. And some extra modulation sources. (more adsrs, lfos and later some esoteric stuff like Make Noise René, Pressure Points, Brains etc.) Probably gonna make a module for a few fuzzes (like a 2U wide panel with 10 different fuzzes) Gotta get a midi interface too for controlling a few stuff from my computer. So far i've made a Yusynth Minimoog VCF a Yusynth ADSR a Meatball/Mutron III clone and a MS20 filter I've ordered a Synthacon VCF and a dual CGS ADSR board so probably they will come next.
  9. i've done about 50% of the work for some cool synthy action, i need a few more modules, a polivoks filter, a synthacon, one more adsr and a module for integrating guitar into synthy stuff fuck i am not even half way there, i need a mixer, a splitter and an lfo, a case, a psu, loads of patch cables etc. and later some oscs, vcas, midi module etc. this shit grows fast.
  10. I don't remember those tubes... Can i just pop in that in place of a 6V6? (i have a JJ 6V6 in that amp) There is no floor in there yet (just concrete) it will be finished around late summer i think, they started laying piles this week so probably i can post floorporn soon. In my room there will be some greyish wood which have a potential to turn out horrible but it looked quite alternative on pics, i liked it. I wanted some pirate ship style strip floor in the guitar room but probably my parents will mess that one up. edit: and yeah i would fill that room up with diffusors and stuff but i am not sure about how hard i can mess up that room
  11. whoa you should exploit dat dere natural testosteron levelz in da gym, from now on i will imagine you as a bear in other news we are moving and i got a huge room just for guitar stuff and chillin but when i clap in there i hear the shittiest reverbs ever, so it is crap, it will get a bit better probably with furniture and stuff but i actually do not want too much stuff in there because of shitty resonations from the brootal volume of my single output tube monster.
  12. I was not being sarcastic, (which is quite rare to be honest) i really like those analog artifacts on those pictures
  13. Overall it sounds better with the treble loss but i miss some of those earpiercing frequencies. It can't do Clapton (Bluesbreakers era, some Cream songs like Strange Brew) or IntelligentAI's Red House tones, it misses the icepicky pick attack, the presence for those tones. I don't know if a low volume setting+pedals could get that because i like the amps driven tone more than my Rat's or Tubescreamers. I should probably try more drives.
  14. @Jim i will never find it probably @James Here is what i can remember: New tubes (Tung-Sol 12AX7 & JJ 6V6) New OT from MSP transformers (its much bigger than the original) Bypassed the fixed tonestack and swapped the coupling caps to Oranges Switchable basscut on the input Switchable neative feedback resistor Switchable LP filter after the transformer (this means hugeass caps and resistors) Rebiased the output tube for symmetrical clipping (it is permanently misbiased stock) External speaker cab with original pre-rola g12m greenback It can produce some good drive tones sometimes when i crank the volume pot. What i dont like is that it have more treble with the volume pot at 50% than when it is cranked. I dont know if this is normal with amps only with a single volume control before the imput tube or my low input mod messed with it a bit.
  15. Is it possible to get good sounds out of that amp? I modded the hell out of mine in search of the Tone but maybe it was just me who couldn't get a good tone out of it. I gonna post a sample of it's tone one day, i wonder how much it changed compared to the stock tone.
  16. Your pictures ain't looking shit enough, son i am disappoint I've got this for like free just the other day. It was cheap because you can't get that type of film it uses anymore. Who gives a fuck, i just hang it in my neck and make the hipsters jelly.
  17. That is pretty sad, i thought i can fiddle with FX knobs while my guitar part is played by the computer into my amp. But impedance is not an unsolvable issue. It is possible to insert a circuit between the amp and the computer which "converts" the soundcard impedance into a guitar like impedance. I think that is the role of a DI box but i am not sure. (i think for "soundcard to guitar" impedance "conversion" you will need an inverse DI box, they are existing but i don't know what are they called) But i have a fear that the the lot of AD/DA coversions are the problem. When you record the clean part there is an AD conversion. Then when you send it out to the amp/FX there is a DA conversion. Then when you capture it again there is an additional AD conversion.
  18. I am thinking about using inserts for sending sounds out of my DAW into some of my pedals then get them back into my DAW without using a microphone and stuff. Btw what you said about recording clean and using that clean recording sounds super awesome. It is kinda like re-amping right? Would it be possible to record something like a guitar solo into my interface directly without using any effects and stuff (so i will get a clean take) and the send taht clean take into my amp and record that? Are AD/DA converters good enough for doing that? Will my clean recording sound the same as actually plugging my guitar into the amp? (assuming i can match the soundcard's/interface's output level with my guitar's output) Will i need a DI box or something?
  19. I wanna buy a new interface because i think mine is fucked but not bad enough to get it repaired/swapped through warranty/service. If i get one with a few outs and ins (something like 6 ins + 6 outs) will i be able to use them kinda like inserts? (without actually having inserts on my interface) I think if i use one of the outs, connect that to an FX pedal or whatever and then route the FXs output to one of the inputs on the interface then it will work as an insert. Is there anything extra to inserts i don't know?
  20. Can those USB powered devices (5v) supply real 48v phantom power? And if i will get a sm57 like microphone (dynamic, 200ohm) will it need phantom power?
