get to know God, not just ask Him to show Himself. read the bible, God's word; His character is evident in it. pray for a revelation of who He is. He is always present. usually when we think He's not, it's because we have chosen to deafen ourselves. pray for an open heart & sensitivity to Him. God promises in James 4:8: 'draw near to God & He will draw near to you.' when you seek Him earnestly, He will not ignore you. you pointed out flaws in your church. everyone, including Christians, is human, & as such we are sinful. but Jesus who we follow is not. don't judge God based on His followers. perhaps you can find support elsewhere? you can try talking to your pastor/priest about it. you might not find a place in that particular church, but you have a place with God. He answers prayers; i say this from personal experience. i never used to pay attention in church; in sunday school, my friends & i were the ones at the back disrupting the class. yet God still called me.

i think it's really good that you're questioning your faith; God doesn't want blind faith. by questioning yourself & coming back to God, your faith can be strengthened. you want proof that God exists. i'm assuming by that you want proof that is outside of the bible, or scientific proof. 'scientific' refers to the process of proving something, ie being able to repeat the results of a test predictably & consistently. well there isn't solid proof for God, at least not yet. if there were, atheists wouldn't exist, no? i know that God exists & that He is personally involved in our lives. how? because i have a personal relationship with Him, personal revelations from Him, & an awareness of His presence in my life. from this foundation, i see evidence that He has created this world; the very fact that there is order & laws that apply to the physical world supports Genesis (God creating the world from chaos; order from disorder.)

( & you too, to see if it's the correct joel lee) and yeah i've seen him around! don't know him though we have mutual (fb) friends. the world is so small! yeahhh that's what i heard about vj. and well, all schools have mass dance! though i think theirs is quite cool cause it's passed through the ages. but ac has a very strong school culture as well (well for my class anyway, cause we get to meet seniors from waaaay back. in fact i've met a few of them in melbourne!
) ahh yeah, band. vj seems to excel at most ccas really. they really do push everyone very hard for both ccas & grades. i think most ccas don't have 'recre', only competitive. so if you don't get into the team then you basically end up with no cca

haha, that's the philosophy i subscribe to!
especially in preparing my parents' hopes for my results. ahaha. VJ was my dream school! but i didn't do well enough at prelims, & went to AC instead. after first three months i loved AC so much i refused to budge. haha. i really liked AC, surprisingly, cause i'm not one of those clubbers/rich kids we're known for. but there's room for all types really, and i just happened to get a class that was fun yet non-clubbing, so it was all good. we still meet up quite often! you're right though, VJ is VERY elitist, from what i've heard. they'll push the students damn hard & make them feel crap if they don't do well. -

i know! some of my friends went to sydney and brisbane but i just wanted to stay home and SLEEP awwh your final year! what are you intending to do after that?

at it until the second or third time listening. UD was catchy as hell since the start though party! awwh. i'm heading down to the tulip festival on friday!
my friends and i are going to wear colours (since we're mostly in black) and take lots of pictures exams in a month though
can't believe holidays are almost over already!
