    Yeah I'm not sure why people are looking forward to it. I'm similarly into the details like Reaper's outro. Things that fans will actually be looking out for. But as far as descriptions of songs go published reviews will certainly be better worded and fair.

    I try to but the internet. Also differentiating song vs. track vs. instrumental etc. is very petty but at the same time there are formal definitions so if you want to go into semantics the criteria of a song is not a subjective list. It is well defined. Obviously "real" track was bad wording. It was clear he just meant a non-interlude.

    Song's definition includes lyrical singing which makes Isolated System an interesting case since it has words, for sure, but they're not really sung or meant to be, since they were recorded in a completely different context from the writing of the instrumental music, and doesn't really have structure. Doesn't really matter, but just a thought.

    Something actually more stretched out and standalone without just serving as something to append, like the bracketed transition tracks, or like if Drones turned out to be a Black Noise type of thing. In this context at least. I think.

    Considering it's a DirecTV organized screening of a Guitar Center promoted concert I'll be surprised if it isn't edited for a casual audience.

    To be fair they never explicitly said it would have been a full performance broadcast, but just worded it in a way that it really seemed so (and perhaps did intend to at first).

    It will. But sucks it's not a live stream. Also not being a live stream gives it a chance of being edited.

    Barrier is nice when I want to be up close. I don't go for it if I don't really know the band that well, unless no one else is taking it.

    I like the Defector solo as it stands. Feels so far like one of their better integrated ones. Treating is as that minor riff would go great in its own song though.

    I'm of the same mindset but if they start pulling out some rare songs I will hate myself. At least I can have someone to rage with.
