We should be on first at 7:15 at the Dublin castle which is meant to be a fairly well known pub in camden. Only our second gig outside of Norwich so we're hoping random people will go and like us. It's £4.50 to get in if you get a flyer from us, we should be down there from around 3 promoting. http://www.myspace.com/kapoktheband

Playing at the Dublin Castle in Camden tomorrow if any of you London Folk are interested.

They weren't really that good despite the fact they turned up with loadsa flightcases with their name sprayed on and their own sound guy. It's still nice to say despite pretty much all the signed bands around here being terrible shouty indie.
-
And then when we did our BOTB with judges and everything and there were joint winners as well. I don't know how many points this one was out of. Unfortunatly we didn't play well on the night. At least we beat a signed band in our heat.
-
We nearly lost a school battle of the bands to some cover band who weren't all that good because it was down to a crowd cheer thing. We had none of our fans there and half of the crowd were there supporting that band. Luckily we converted the metalers to cheer for us

I think it's meant to have been common knowledge for quite a while. At a gig i played the other week (when the anatomyofguns was playing as well) there was someone who had his drums set up left handed but played right handed. Was a bit weird.

As in the fact that he's a lefty?
-
Unfortunatly i think it's at the brickmakers rather than B2 tonight which is a shame
-
I heard that if you get a whammy you can play at the brickmakers main stage
-
He is a cool guy indeed, he's been very helpful in sorting our live recording stuff for tomorrow. Not sure when we'll get the tracks up assuming all goes well.
-
A friend of mines band got moved onto the main stage in the actual pub as they only had 4 people turn up, btw the main stage is rubbish and for covers. The headline band collect the money and then it's up to them to decide what they do with it, how much they give to the other bands.

I really need some sort of decent software for posters, i only have word. Just in case you've seen the many posted around access and are thinking they're a tad basic. And i've had a little look on the B2 website and found out that 100% of money taken on the door is for the bands. All staff costs are paid by drink sales so as long as people go along to buy drinkd they'll let you play.

Have yourselves another vote

He does, actually quite handy for getting gigs, like we're playing a sproweston sixth form thing i think with the fuzz who beat us in some battle of the bands grr, but on the B2 website it says we're headlining that night so it's all good.
