Sounds solid to me, IMO. Agree with the mixing though, depending on what equipment and audio settings you're listening with. 3 tracks I wouldn't immediately skip on a consistent basis, and if Reaper's chorus isn't as off-putting as it sounds from what I've heard live, that's 4 solid tracks. Two more and it beats The 2nd Law's entirely skip-worthy second half (sorry, but I need Matt's vocals in a Muse song).

I forgot to add something, too. All the songs we have so far (studio versions), are all kinda flat(?)... No drama, little build-up. Is this intended? Or are my standards too high. O.o

 

Playing along with the 'concept album' concept

 

Dead Inside is like the last embers of dying emotion with the final bit.

Psycho, being more of a repetitive dirge to represent being remade by the evil drill sgt.

Mercy being almost a relapse back to emotion - i think it's out of place 3rd on the album tbh.

Reapers is then the horrors of what the evil drone master is making him do

my main gripe with the mixing is that the synth is too quiet in the mix, and the bridge section lacks the drama from the bootleg version.

it was actually really easy to get it... just took out the psycho on the psycho url and put mercy instead...

edit: actually, slight modification to the final chorus. note that he sings the words in a different order in the video posted above to the studio version, so I'll refer to the words as he sings them on the video for purposes of clarity

 

for the first half (from "my skin is warm to caress") he appears only to alternate between x-x-x-12-13-11 and x-x-x-12-13-10, then plays the above four chords for the second half (from "you taught me to lie without a trace" onwards)
