  1. Exactly! In other news, in an effort to improve both my guitar skills and production skills, I'm making a bunch of sort of backing tracks sampled off old 70s disco funk. So I can daft punk and porter robinson while I weeeeoooooo and bleepbloop.
  2. tbh, I prefer the 25% more general, but that's just my 2c. We had some brilliant titles when we were looking at it towards the end of the last one.
  3. Holy shit. And also, J = 10 A = 1 M = 13 E = 5 S = Green Therefore, james90 + triangle = P90. James I'd be shitting myself right now if I was you.
  4. I put a humbucker in it. But I've no neck pickup in it. So the switches I have wired for it are an on/off/on kill switch and a series/parallel switch. I did look at a rotary control, so with a neck p90 it would switch between combinations of the three coils. I'm happy with how it sounds now though.
  5. Question, a lot of the popular guitar compressors only have 2-3 controls, usually something like level, gain, threshold. I've been reading up about compressors cos I'm gonna need one in due course for a specific sound I'm after, but I would ideally need one with the full range of controls, like attack, release, ratio etc. But they all seem very pricey. So does anyone use a compressor with the full compliment of controls or is there a better way?
  6. Yeah that's what I'm finding tricky. Like each of them are a bit different, but thats a good thing I guess. They'll all have a tone bypass switch too. Figuring out a price seems to be the toughest part. The parts for them is cheap, but I get the whole aspect of putting a price on the time and effort. Still doesn't make it too easy to put a figure on it. Any ideas of what would be reasonable? Even a bracket?
  7. So, quick question. I'm about 1/2 way through these set of 5 big muff builds. Realistically, how likely is it that i'd be able to sell some/all/any of them?
  8. Moved the pickup closer, its now about 7.5mm from the strings. Sounds great! Very nice in parallel. Very clean and I'm loving it through a mxr microamp
  9. Its only one p90 at the bridge. The DC on it is around 12k I think so if you know if any of your pickups are around that, the distances away they are would help. Cheers
  10. The neodymium bridge p90 sized humbucker from calig pickups. For being cheap as fuck, its got good clarity, but not as loud as I hoped. Not bad all the same for the price of it. Ended up wiring it with series/parallel and it sounds great on series. The height needs to be tweaked a bit, but I think moving it closer to the strings will make it a bit louder. Also managed to do something to break one of my 27//54 prototypes. Something went pop.
  11. Well would you rather be associated with Cark bai, or the rest of the country? edit: also, my new pickup arrived. Now for fun with rotary switches!
