I hadn't seen that interview before. So chaotic, and quite uncomfortable at the end when Matt had to explain that his lyrics in love songs were based on his own experiences, to the pretty fangirl. Especially as she had just told them that her heart was beating wildly.

As I read it, his tweet isn't giving a guarantee that they will reschedule, but they are working on it. Hopefully they will be able to.

I feel bad Matt had to be the one to apologize and talk about maybe rescheduling...I mean, it's not like he's the one who's personally making phone calls to venues and booking things... I'm pretty sure other people get paid to do that, and should have been handled better in communication to fans by management.
I don't think there is any reason to feel bad, but it was nice of him
. Well he's a decent guy imo. People have a tendency to misjudge him I think. -
Well this medical advice site says to stay off the foot and any activity that cause pain for four to six weeks.

So I think cancelling gigs in the next few days is unfortunate but not unreasonable.

Do any of us want to WATCH these videos stuck in whatever they do with them?
I certainly don't...
No can't say I'm interested in watching what fans do at gigs or would ever film myself at a gig. I can envisage that a group of young people out at a gig together might do it though.
They did something with the photos last time which was quite effective. Perhaps this will be similar. They could use their own footage, but perhaps they thought this would be more fun for some people, or for some idiots, however you want to look at it.
They could have given some warning though, so that more idiots had an opportunity to film themselves.

If this announcement came before the gigs I attended, though, I would have used a cam attached on my head, filming the moshpit.
It couldn't have been that idiotic since their inbox got full.

(also didn't see the point in starting a new thread for it)This is interesting actually. I think an edited version has been posted before, but I don't remember reading some of article before. It possibly could have a separate thread.
Encouraged me to do a little bit of my own investigation into the ideas of Tesla. There appear to be quite a few conspiracy theories on the suppression of his ideas for providing free energy, because of the effect it would have on the economy, which might be what sparked Matt's interest, but it seems (from admittedly reading only one academic journal that touched on Tesla) that a method has not been found yet to provide wireless energy without danger and health issues which figures.
I'm interested in the philosophical angle though, the idea that natural resources cannot be owned, which also connects to the idea of scarce resources being political, an idea maintained to sustain capitalism, but then, I think, that conflicts with the theme of The 2nd Law.

Aww Matt. The good thing about it is that it shows he's as susceptible to human frailty as much as anyone.
Not that there was ever any doubt on that score. But, you know, iconic rock stars are not supposed to trip on the stairs! Imo rock stars that do are simply better. Who wants iconic people anyway. -

Really nice, rather sweet giffs, but didn't Matt smile and wave to someone right at the beginning of Follow Me? I remember wondering who he was smiling and waving at.
He may have done that at the lyric "like your life has slipped away" but he wasn't really concentrating on the lyrics then.
