  1. Hi guys, haven't been on here for years, but I wanted to ask your opinion on Matt's current live sound... The 3 Kemper-sound I guess? I have watched multiple live vids now and all i can conclude is that his live tone kinda sucks. It sounds muffles, squashed and too compressed all at once. As if the wall of sound is being pushed through a 6 inch speaker with a lack of highs...
  2. My rig for tomorrow! It's ourt third gig and I'm really excited. Spent quite some time dialing everything in and I'm happy with it!
  3. Yeah, but you play bassguitar, which isn't realy important at all in a band.. ..or is it? Looks awesome by the way, what is that little silver-ish pedal in the middle for?
  4. maaaaaaaybe. Thanks Lord MFC, it was quite a b*tch to get it set up like this... I think with all the changes overtime it has easily been hours to get it like this. One thing is tha it barely fits really.. The main problem was the wah peddle, the screws/rubber 'feet' were needed to hold it together, but it made it impossible to pleace it on the board, so I had to 'tape' it shut, yeah, I think I should call it that. ..and all I'm thinking is how I would fit a dirt pedal on it if I ever wanted to, and I am wanting to..
  5. Yeah, more or less, though I have yet to find good use for it. You see, it only works when you kick it real hard and then it still only produces a very weak signal, it's quite the tone sucker too.
  6. Again, an update on my pedalboard. Had a gig last night and didn't have my own amp with me, they assured me there would be some decent amps, but I ended up with a Marshall AVT, wasn't too happy with it. Anyway, I decided I really wanted to have my fuzz with me at all times (it used to be in my Marshall JVM's effects loop), so I made space (I'm surprised it all fits and that I still have room for duckie!) God, I freakin' love the Phase 90 > Micro POG > Lil' Big Muff sound I recommend that everyone should at least try that sort of thing.
  7. Little update on my pedalboard, rearranged the pedals to make it easier to use and to be able to use shorter cables etc. I've explained this a few times, but what the heck, I like typing this stuff and I like reading this kind of stuff, maybe others do so too. Here it goes: Guitar > Boss LS-2 A+B > Marshall JVM 410h > Blackstar Artisan 212 V30 Cab. (A send > EHX Freeze > Pruel Vol. Pedal > Nova Delay Left side > MXR Phase 90 > A return) (B send > EHX Micro P.O.G > Cry Baby Classic Fasel > Nova Delay Right side > B return) Dry out from EHX Micro P.O.G goes to Aroma Tuner (cheap, though works great imo) JVM Footswitch: 1 Clean + Reverb 2 OD1 Green (This used to be Crunch Red, but I now prefer OD1) 3 OD1 Orange (Main distortion) 4 OD2 Red (Rectifier-ish) 5 Clean Green + Effects Loop (EHX Little Big Muff is in the loop, works as my 'fuzz channel') 6 Reverb on/off Currently using a Fender Blacktop Telecaster as my main guitar for pretty much everything.
  8. Very nice look peddleboard you have there Matthijs, currently looking for pedals for our bassplayer too, and the OC-2 and Big Muff are definitely on the list to check out. My own pedalboard is now complete: I got the Cry Baby Classic in the mail today, I absolutely love it!
  9. Works perfectly, excellent tone, no suckage or anything. Makes it so I can switch all the different 'dirt' sounds with that one footswitch so I don't have to dance around the pedalboard much if I want my fuzz sound.
  10. Not that anyone will be too interested in seeing this (I was just so busy making it look nice) but still; here is my gear. Will replace the pedalboard with a pedaltrain 2 as soon as I can and will add a Whammy (V probably) when I have the money. A volume pedal is on the way from a friend who borrowed it. Need to get my hands on a good tuner too actually... Pedal signal just goes from right to left in front of the amp (no need for my delay in the loop or anything, don't really use it on distorted channels) Little Big Muff in the loop. JVM Switch is 1. Clean 2. Crunch Red 3. OD1 Orange 4. OD2 Red 5. Fuzz (Clean + Effectsloop (L.Big Muff)) 6. Master vol switch (lead boost) Main guitar is a Fender Blacktop Tele, others include a London City Comet, a Yamaha RGX A2, an OLP and a MoC copy.
  11. I'd say it was setup badly then, as mine plays effortlessly, the neck is a bit thinner than a regular C-shape and the pickups are beefy as fuck. There is a demo on youtube of some german guy for a shop with a JVM, so you can sorta see how it sounds here with me
  12. Here is my new Fender Blacktop Telecaster. Even before I left the shop I had the 'amp' knobs replaced with regular tele style knobs, me likey! It F-ing screams heavy rock tones with my JVM, exactly what I was looking for! Also, I'm quite happy with the camera on my HTC Sensation
  13. If you go that way I'd advise to use eq and compression just to try things out. Use the eq to find sweet spots as to where the drums have room in the mix, and compression to make them a bit more punchy, not too much though.
  14. Thought I'd put our own song on here that we've just finished. And with finished I mean we've made a version that contains all the parts, is listenable and has yet to be made into a 'bandversion'. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0Hpyw2nwL0
  15. that is indeed a USB audiobox, a few things are nescessary indeed to make it work properly. First of all is to make sure the USB port you use has no interference with any other ports on the laptop. I have an ASUS N53jq and it has 2 usb-ports on one side and a 3.0 on the other along with a 'hybrid' eSATA / USB port. I found out that the 'hybrid' port had the best connection, it always worked properly without interference. The installation of the driver was a bit tricky, as sometimes after installation it wouldn't function properly or something.. Finally: make sure that if your laptop's powersupply is plugged in that it isn't charging the battery when you use the audiobox, I had problems once and the only conclusion I could make was that it caused major interference.
  16. Here is a vid of my band doing some covers, hope you guys like it. Soundguy messed up the bass ont the synths by boosting it too much though! Not sure if this was the right thread by the way..
  17. Hi guys, I'm back once more, here is a pic of our band's synth-department: Actually it's already outdated as all the synths are now in stereo and I have tripod for the mixer and the laptop, oh well.

I say make it a 7-string guitar those kinda suit the whole 'big ' body thing better imo.

I think the starlight-finish would look nice if there were fewer stars, and just a nice glossy black finish with a few dots here and there.

The first thing that came to mind was 'its too metal-looking' as in the genre, not the material. Not sure if I personally dig that, makes me thing of a cheap Ibanez or some BC Rich.
  21. Sounds nice, but I prefer singers wearing a shirt. Song kinda lacks progresion imo, it stays kinda the same for 4 minutes..
