  1. this +1 don't just travel and spend $$$$$ for a gig; use it as the "excuse" to also take a chance to explore and visit the country you just landed in or anything neighbouring before I moved to Paris, in 2011 I was still living in Argentina, and Muse announced OoS to be played in its entirety at Reading and Leeds. I didn't hesitate for second, bought festival tickets, bought plane tickets and it was a shitload of money to be spent on just a festival, which btw, was well worth it, but what leave it at that ? I made trips to Iceland, Norway and Finland that summer. That's how you should do these things IMO, as long as your wallet/work/school/schedule/life allows it.
  2. what's the secret to space dementia on piano ? While I understand it's not super complex, I find it pretty fast for m, I've been playing piano for about 1 year and a half so I guess I'm "ultra basic" too yet can't play it. Anyway, there was no "by request" at Grand Rex, it was part of the original set list for buenos aires (I was there), and it was all part of their first south american tour ever in which they decided to play a whole lot of rarities since it was the first time ever in those countries. AP, Fury, DS, CE, COD and Bliss also got played on that tour being considered rarities at the time (although AP, Bliss and CE became less of a rarity in more recent tours)
  3. @Tjet answered via PM to avoid going more off topic than it already did
  4. geez, do you have some sense of humor ? ever went to see a standup comedian ? 90% of their jokes is based on stereotypes and generalizations that while always morally wrong, are just made up to make people laugh and that's it - I'm no professional comedian whatsoever, but I was just trying to make a JOKE. hopefully you will never go up stage argue with a comedian about a joke about older people just because your mother/whatever does not fit their generalization... seriously, take it easy now, back on topic, I just hope if matt ever keeps on a single one of his promises, it will be a RARITIES tour and not a chosen-by-people setlist. hardcore fans are a minority today, so that will obviously not work out very well for "us"
  5. while I did a brutal and innacurate generalization, I was trying to mock the usual female teenager who makes your inner ears bleed while screaming in a horrifying high pitched voice as soon as they hear undisclosed desires intro, or, the "mother in their 50s" who goes see muse because she heard "madness" on the radio in the car in her commute to work way too often
  6. do I need to explain or just lack of sense of humor ?
  7. None anymore, because Matt keeps taking a piss at hardcore fans. In a world where Matt listens to their most loyal fans and stops thinking about making money, my top 5 would be: - Showbiz - Muscle Museum - Yes Please - Coma - Assassin
  8. I don't think it's that hard to prevent casual fans from getting into an intimate rarities show. It only takes refusing entry to: - Any female teenagers and mothers in their 40s or 50s - Anyone who owns any U2 album, tshirt or related merchandise whatsoever - Anyone who is unable to respond quickly to "what happened to matt's rare effects pedal used in muscle museum?"
