  1. How long does the presale last? And why are tickets $100?!
  2. You rock! Thanks a bunch!
  3. Would anyone who has the Muse font be willing to post a large picture of the word "Problematique" in all caps and in all lowercase? From what I can tell the font is called Frutiger 65 Bold. I'm going to get this tattooed, but would rather not purchase the entire font pack just to be able to type one word. Thanks in advance!
  4. Yea, but somehow I don't think those two bands are looking for members!
  5. Is anybody here in Atlanta, GA and interested in starting a band? I play the drums, bass, and guitar, and am looking for some other musicians to start writing with and playing shows. My main influences are Muse, Coldplay, and a bunch of alternative rock/punk bands, so I'd be interested in combining those influences somehow. I do have some demos up on the Soundcloud link in my signature, but most of them aren't too recent.

Is he not on here anymore? I haven't been a regular on here in probably 4-5 years, but I used to enjoy talking with him drummer to drummer! Maybe I should get back into posting on here more often, I've really started looking at Dom's drumming in a whole new way, and the drumming on Muse songs just fit so perfectly.

His kit for the 2nd Law tour is a DW Jazz Series. According to Drum! Magazine, the sizes are 22x20 kick, 14x6.5 snare, 12x10, 15x15, and 16x16 floor toms, and an 18x16 floor tom on his right.

When you see a drumming vid on youtube , which angle do you prefer? Looking from the front, drivers seat, or overhead?

Dude, I don't know if any of you got the new Modern Drummer, but we all gotta up our game. Travis Barker's new techniques (as extensively covered in the new issue) is the new best thing. Check it out, the "Two-Stick Crash Hits" and "Unique Hi-Hat Technique" is nothing short of amazing. RKQgDY0pZ68

/\ try and learn things by ear first though, don't always rely on tabs and sheet music. Its good for down the road when you need to write something down or look up a confusing beat, but try to learn the song on your own first, it will help you get a better feel for song structures and musical recognition.

Nice find! That would be worth it just for the cymbals and hardware, nice that you got some drums too!

Thats what I thought, just wondering why MD decided to only put it in just now... I do remember seeing the promark ads with Dom in them when they were still doing the BHaR tour. Odd..

Then don't say anything stupid Still, doesn't work for the sake of this argument. ------------------ If I remember correctly, Bubinga is suposed to be warmer than maple with more of a low pitch while still having the attack of a birch kit. Awesome

He could whup any of our asses in a drum battle even with only a single pedal, I was just posting a video. I'll let this go, but youd better believe its coming back up the next time someone bashes double bass. Besides, the analogy of the tremolo doesn't make sense - completely different situation. Its not limiting because you don't play double bass, its limiting because you dismiss double bass in any context. Bubinga kits are amazing, the looks are parallel to its sound, so as long as you've heard it, and like it, I have heard nothing negative about those kits. Just make sure to post pics when you get it!!

Yea, double bass in that context is just noise. Painful on the ears! But you can't discredit everyone who has a double pedal because of those extremes. Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PypMXDKZ3V4&feature=related Fits the music, good groove, not constant noise. If you want to limit yourself by not trying to learn more drum techniques, thats your business, just trying to point out the better points of double pedals.
