  1. Then put those faces back in the jar where they belong. It is a fun house. There will be many a fancy dress party in these walls. For a proper zombie you're looking at £100 worth of rum because of all the varieties involved. Although we would get many zombies out of them!

I unstitched it from Cardiff's patchwork night sky.

. Which is a good description! 3 incredibly abrasive guitars, 1 bass, 1 keyboard, 1 drum kit, 1 drum machine, and vocals all turned to maximum volume, and then the venue decided to amplify all of it to maximum rather than bother with sound levels. I've rarely seen a room empty so quickly! I of course stood right at the front for the whole set with a dedicated group of noise lovers and flailing madmen waving around bags of Class A drugs and shouting "LOUDER!" Not that you could hear them over the noise. I loved it! But then again I am hardcore. And deaf.

Wooo! Finally left El Paso then. You'll need to bring me some new sand. I probably won't see Potter till Monday, as that's when Helen is free, and she is in the University Harry Potter Society. She's a Hufflepuff. She's a particularly good finder. (Have you seen

    ?!)

Mobiliarquiche! Or we could play a broomstick borne game of Quichitch! :awesome:

  2. Hello! I'm not dead. Just resting. My new flatmates (in my new beautiful house) are keen on my idea of zombies in china teapots! Problem is it will be expensive. Especially buying the 151% proof rum. It's a good house. I have a fabric comet:

We've started a house blog (not my idea, but i'll run with it). And I've made a POST! This is my achievement of the week. Along with being deafened by the loudest band I've ever seen, and making a cool PDF of one of the rare medieval "rymes" i'm reading for my thesis. YEAH COOL. No one can tell me otherwise!

HOW ARE YOU? Have you seen Harry Potter yet? EDIT: I see you're a mod now! How did that happen? Don't they know you'll go Voldemort power-crazy!?!

  3. I'm cooking a dinner party tomorrow night. Seem to have spent the entire day shopping. I'm going to make:

Starter - Mushrooms topped with melted goat's cheese, on toasted ciabatta and pea shoot salad.

Main Course - Roasted peppers stuffed with spiced beef, served with couscous and a drizzle of humous.

Dessert - Some kind of French tart, if I can find one tomorrow!

  4. Have you seen The Adventures of Baron Munchausen? It's my other favourite Terry Gilliam movie, and there is quite a lot in common between them! I absolutely love it. Them.

Zombie! Best cocktail ever. The one at Buffalo Bar here has recently put a restriction on it, so you can only buy 2 per night. Which is sad, as before that me and Johannes used to drink around 4-6 a night. Depending on the night. :awesome: EDIT: Whoa! Reading the "history" section I see a limit of two is common: "The restaurant limit of two Zombies, therefore, would be the equivalent of 7 regular cocktails such as a Manhattan or Scotch on the rocks."

    Partying is good. :yesey:

  5. My little sister said she was really reminded of me when Anton was playing with the pipe near the beginning. I do love that film. It's wonderfully weird.

Life is good. My PhD 6 month review went really well last wednesday! I saw a good French film last night with Johannes (L'affaire Farewell), and we then proceeded to get rather drunk on zombies. Mmmm... zombies. I'm cooking a dinner party for 4 friends on friday, and I really want to make my own zombie cocktail and serve it in a china tea pot. Sadly I have neither the money for the multiple types of rum involved, or the tea pot!

How is the life of Lujan?

  6. Neeyeeaaaaaaaaahhhh!

  7. Actually, I'm the love-child of Johnny Greenwood and Andrew Garfield. My Daddies are on one page! TRUFAX.

I miss the play! *sad face* It was the best 5 months. Seen a lot of the others since though - in parks, yurts, and cocktail glasses. And we had a very drunken after-show party (including a full-on 60's cuddle orgy), and a full reunion at the BALL! The 5 night run itself went very well indeed! Got a fantastic review in the student newspaper and lots of laughs. And a last night which involved real alcohol, Iron Man boxer shorts, unexpected dildos, unexpected apples, unexpected Southern preachers, Blackadder quotes, Rick rolling, and a whole lot of confetti. I really enjoyed playing a foolish drunkard of a knight!

Have a shit load of photos:

  8. What about a deerstalker hat?

Wine is of course my life blood. The poem does have lots of graphic sexual imagery in it. But that makes me want to swim in the words.

I tend to find I love poetic prose, but rarely poetry itself. Not sure why. It's as though the structure and enforced pattern saps the life out of it for me. So it has to be very odd, very inventive, full of buried meanings, and very visually dense and imaginative for me to like it. Come to think of it, Howl pretty much ignores structure too!

  9. They obviously are. Type "Fezes" into google and it will finish off the sentence to tell you how cool they are.

It's always there at the end of those evening guest lectures. It's a kind of mini event for the lecturers and post-grads. Johannes insisted I went to his for pizza then go to see the film. Which was handy. Both as I hadn't eaten, and as I wanted to see the film. The film was good. It was more dramatised documentary than film though. The dialogue was only taken from the 50's beat poem Howl, one audio interview with the author Alan Ginsberg, and the court transcripts of the trial which tried to ban the poem for being obscene. Then those 3 things were acted/animated and inter-weaved. I love the poem though (which is surprisingly rare for me!), so I enjoyed it:

  10. What about a fez? Fezes are cool.

No, it was just a lecture from a visiting professor. Then I grabbed the wine, grabbed pizza from a friend's house, and went to an indie cinema/arts centre to watch

    .
  11. It is really. That's why I like it. I just want hats. MORE HATS! I have a craving. That only hats can satisfy.

I had free wine earlier at a Beowolf paper. Yay!

  12. Exactly like a jester hat. :yesey:

  13. I'm pretty sure I need my throat to live. If I killed it I'd probably look a bit of a fool. And I don't want to look like a fool. Unless it's intentional. In motley. And wearing one of those cool hat things with the bells. I want one of them. Get me one for Christmas?

  14. I'm dying! Dying of a sore throat. :supersad:

  15. Wait till you see what the mutated kittens do then... :noey:

Costume for the play of course! I shall have a tweed suit. Because I am cool.

    It was very good!

  16. Nah, nothing wrong with a little nibble. They don't even pierce the skin. But they are annoying. Hence the usage of trousers.

I still don't have my costume yet. :( May have just gatecrashed another cast's aftershow party after an evening of drinking! Twas fun. Now i'm repeatedly listening to the 30 second clips of each song from the new IAMX album. Because i'm eager.

He was very good. The first half was mostly spent talking about the closely related subjects of charity and his granddad's obsession with crisps, whilst the second half was spent talking about comedians and politics. :yesey:

  17. More... nibble.

We've already given drunken renditions of the play a fair few times!

Right, i'm off to see Stewart Lee.

    :awesome:

  18. There shall be pants and trousers. These shall be required in the future to deal with mutated leg moths. These are some more of the things that I know.

I did the next day. :noey: Have barely drunk since! Although I plan to be very drunk for the aftershow party on the 19th!

And in the meantime, I have Chai tea! :awesome:

  19. It's the way of the future. In the future there shall be no shirts. Marks know this. :yesey:

WINE! I want wine. Haven't had any in weeks. Not since a horribly drunken house party where I drank a bottle of wine and half a bottle of rum. Bad times.

  20. The danger is that I will put off everything, and then get into trouble! I'm terrible at procrastinating.

    :awesome:

I AM happy at the moment! Just hope I will pull everything off well and stay happy!

  22. I am good! Busy though. Amazingly busy. Writing a big essay for my PhD, rehearsing 3 times a week for Twelfth Night (which is on in 3 weeks, and i'm performing a scene of it tomorrow at a Uni event), and have been going out lots too. Was at a masquerade party at a cocktail bar last night! It was amazing. :awesome:

    How's you?
