Cheers. Had a good BD, actually. And the Manics put out a new album the day after, not a bad couple of days.

It's alright,Riggy asked me if I have it and I told him I'll check with Chris.
If I get hold of it,I'll let you know

I don't, sorry. It was a B Side on the first release of You Love Us back in 1991, and it popped up again on the single From Despair to Where in 93.
Sadly it was one of the B Side not included on Lipstick Traces. I've never heard it.

Closing music venues always a bad idea--could lead to bands avoiding a place on future tours, or certainly less variety of concerts too!
-
I've hardly been there. Most of the gigs I go to are at other places in Cardiff.
I think the reason I jumped on board the "petition" thing was the principle of the idea. You don't mess with music venue's in Cardiff, end of.

She's not around much--I think she travels a lot for her job for one thing--I friended her on facebook, but I haven't heard from her in a couple of weeks!
Yes, I would think the petition got some kind of message across--do you like the place as a concert venue?
-
Speaking of her, haven't seen her for a while... wonder where she went?
Anywho, the petition got something like 5,900 signatures on it by the end. I'd like to think the petition had something to do with the place staying open, however small.

Interesting piece--thanks for the link, Sir! I'd like to see a gig at the Point--funny that it used to be a church! Most of the better venues around here used to be movie theaters at one time, not surprising I guess...
I told gwezza about the petition--she signed it, she did!

No, you can't call me that. I demand you to call me "Sir", peasant.
Funny you should mention The Point, as this article was written today...

We won. The people running the place have been allowed to install £50k's worth of soundproofing... so not entirely a total victory, but I good outcome nonetheless. I might make a post in banter thanking anyone who signed it, not sure if it's worth making a new thread for.
