  1. This Apple idea is pretty laughable on reflection. Can you really imagine a TV commercial for fancy watches featuring 030503 in a politicised song entitled "Psycho"? U2 worked because they're beigerock.
  2. Yeah, it's possible... It's also possible the rest of the album makes Guiding Light look like Execution Commentary! I wouldn't worry. It's been barely changed since 1999.
  3. If they do it they'll play a gig in London in a 15k capacity venue and pretend that a dodgy livestream will suffice for the rest of the planet who don't have superfast broadband and no work to be at on a Friday morning or qualms with handing £450 to touts.
  4. I was really happy to see this on this morning, pleasant breakfast TV surprise! Kept it a bit quiet!
  5. Putting my statistician hat on I'd say even if you weighted for the general decline in album sales TSL still under performed. Uprising was good and USE created a huge hype amongst the fan base. Survival was a bit...awful...and Madness was exactly going to build much confidence in the BHaR/Abso/OoS lover doubters. That's my guess.
  6. I don't think it's fair to speculate on things like this. Their old management were very competent and always ahead of the curve digitally. And TSL didn't do well because it wasn't very good!
  7. I guess we'll all have to see what happens... We'll fight the case of the board if need be, but there's no reason to expect anything here to change. Tom Kirk will always love us. He's going nowhere! ...no pun intended.
  8. Matt the Christmas slutshamer used Whirlwind.
  9. That's the idea behind Apple's stuff, that the pixel size means that at average viewing distance for a person with average site the pixels can't be seen, same principle applies with any screen. The same principle is why astronomers keep trying to build these ridiculously big-mirrored telescopes so you resolve even smaller objects in the sky. You might just have really good eyes. I think a lot of the quoted figures tend to refer to 20/20 vision but quite a few people do have slightly better eyesight than hat and might pick up on the difference. I can't really see the difference from standing a bit away but I haven't a long look tbh.
  10. Pretty sure it wasn't released on 4K. 4K is a bit of a gimmick in most people's cases anyway - you need a REALLY big TV or need to sit really close to it to actually notice the difference between it and HD. 60" HD is fine up to 9' away, so you'd need a TV the size of a wall...e.g. an actual cinema.
  11. If you want the lossless ones released, email management to express interest. They won't sell them unless they know we want them.
  12. Well that sounds really promising. Early 2015 = June 2015 though.
  13. Ni harm in having this thread here as a standalone discussion. Not hugely rare that one but it's a nice piece, is rather uncommon and would be a nice addition for any collection. The music itself isn't a particular rough mix of the album, it's essentially the mix that was released but with a few small difference like extended synths on Bliss (that did end up mostly in the single version). The unbleebed audio is rarer and I'm sure if anyone made that available online it would be widely appreciated. I believe I have it somewhere, actually...
  14. Indeed, apologies that you couldn't find your thread but as threads are merged quite commonly it isn't usual practice to actively inform users - we tend to treat content on the board as a non-personal contribution to a common forum and organise it to keep similar content together when it seems fit, unless it's obvious a thread is about a specific personal issue. Others above have given good advice above on how to track your posts if you do want to find them again and can't too.
  15. Glad it's on a proper format and not restricted to one mobile OS this time! I'm gonna wait to see if there's any limited edition .mu packages though...don't get why people always jump the gun a preorder from the first places to put a listing up.
  16. Feel free to start any thread you want as long as it's in the board rules
  17. New Billboard article says they're planning to record next year so I guess we'll get, like clockwork, a new album late summer 2015. Didn't they have something a few weeks ago saying the same thing? Probably legit.
  18. And SACD. Cassette was in South East Asia only...I can't remember which country. Probably Indonesia.
  19. I really doubt it matters. Muse perform dreadfully in the singles for such a high profile act but they're hardly bankrupted because they sustain a huge live following and good album sales. I'm sure if Radio One refused to play a Muse song ever again it would have some real impact on their ticket and album sales eventually as Zane Lowe does generate tremendous hype about these things but really, if what Muse have done thus far hasn't sunk them I doubt this will a major concern to them!
