  1. well this is a bit shit. --misses K&T Banter, even if I can count the posts I made there on one hand--.
  2. Hmm I have both the dual and distx, and the dual is mostly the overdrive and dist combined.

I'd say in your case the distx would do the trick better, as the gain on both does get pretty high but just a little more on the distx (duh..)

BUT. I think the dual sounds way better, It sounds much tighter, and really punchy, more than the distx.

So if you want really high gain, and might go scooped mids and stuff (You can get kinda the Kill 'em all (whiplash) sound out of it, and Ride the lightning) go Distx.

Anything else would probably better with the Dual or normal Dist.

The midboost stuff and with pretty much gain is really eargasming with my Dual.

But both have pretty much indeed what the MT has not, body and stuff.

  3. thinking of getting a Blackstar HT dist or distx. what they like? i'm gonna sell my hardwire metal distortion cos it just seems to have no body, sounds weak, and i thought blackstar=valves=goodness.

  4. I know im not amazing, but he over killed the criticism on the one video even though it was out of tune and i added quirks. He also judged mt playing on one video which upset me.

  5. I did cope. When he started being a ass well i went all out. I guess im sorry.

    Doms Drums

I hear Dom uses a ribbon crasher on Megalomania, but why does it sound different live than in the study. Live its a bit sloshy, whilst on the recording its a really tight metal against metal sound.
