Mainly because I am disappoint with the new EHX big muffs really (although I haven't tried the germanium yet, but I wouldn't really call it your average big muff). The tone wicker is probably my favorite though.

cool, but the black magic doesn't work at all? right before i packaged them up, i hooked a 9v up to them and all LEDs lit up anyway. i didn't actually try them with an amp and guitar though, but yes, i don't see it being too difficult to fix. not sure how easy it will be to debug that thing though. let me know how it turns out.

yeah some dirt has built up around the frets i guess, but the board itself looks good. just not sure if i'm doing a bad thing by not oiling it.

oh, and i accidentally chipped the paint on the new you-know-what (don't worry, it's incredibly minor - just was changing the strap locks for schallers) and it is definitely mahogany. i'd say it's a tad heavier than your average tele, though if it didn't have the contours...it could be quite different

I figured you'd be the one to ask about this...how often do you oil your ebony boarded guitars, and do they tend to dry up any faster than rosewood? just not sure whether i should worry about oiling the custom T or not...it's been over two years, but it doesn't look bad. just a bit dirty.
