  1. This was with a Marshall - though I tried it with an Orange, and that mid b33f was still there...just shows that the guitar DOES matter in the overall sound haha. definitely a great pickup.

  2. Thanks Dave :batman: It's been exactly one year since I received a visitor message!

  3. setlist got here safe and sound (that was fast!) - thanks again :)

  4. happy birthday philllllllll

  5. Hey... I know you use flickr, so I thought I'd ask...have you got a ton of views recently for no apparent reason? with the few pictures I have, I was getting a few views a day, and in the past hour, I've got 26 apparently  and it's still going up. mostly the photostream, though (rather than the pictures themselves)

  6. stealth bugger is done - picking it up tomorrow hopefully. not much needed to be done (slight neck adjustment and intonation mainly), though he did mention trying to add another neck shim, but then taking it back out because it played better

  7. I must be cursed haha.

Sorted the neck out (mostly). took it off and tightened the truss rod slightly...a little tighter than I'm comfortable with though, but not to the point where...SNAP :stunned: Looks better, BUT...another problem. the B string seems to be slipping out of the tuner. I don't understand that at all....going to try to do that thing with the knot when I (re)re-string it tomorrow.

gut pics are up if you didn't see them.

Also, the neck appears to be shimmed. Also has filled mounting holes from when it was on the Ibanez body :)

  8. It's great so far - just have to get it setup a little better. All of the guitars I've got from them have had fairly high action for some reason. And I don't know about the wiring really, but I'll post the pics in a few minutes.

  9. No idea, it was the same up until I took the strings off (or put them back on). same gauge/brand as well... probably will have to adjust the neck a little, but it's a bit strange.

  10. Hmm...just thought I'd ask. I sorted the issue with the strings flying out of the nut on that guitar (lowered the tuner poles - compared to the tele they were a LOT higher)...

might sound stupid, but would that add any tension to the neck? i had the strings off for a day, but the side where the tuners were adjusted has bowed somewhat. Other side is normal.

  11. is the other board not working?

i found out i still had jay added on one of my fake msn accounts...tempted to troll him, especially because of what his status is (can't post it here or i'll get infracted or something)

  12. What do you think of this one?

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=190322624986&Category=2384&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2

Not sure about the tuners...and the pickguard looks hideous! also the headstock shape...may have just been what he used back then (1998).

  13. Hey Kev

Are there new mods or something? (noticed some bold names)

Got one for kit and tab already? haha (guessing it's trad3mark)

  14. t3h haze!!1

listening to those RDG songs on myspace - very good. i am assuming that's you on guitar? (who else could fuzz up a guitar sound that much)

    good stuff anyway

  15. Hey

Here's something that might interest you.

You know the Manson/BKP humbucker?...was just playing the Custom T which has that pickup, and that pickup seems to have a LOT to do with Matt's sound..

Sounds exactly like that if dialed in properly...it has that b33fy mid tone to it. (which the nailbomb lacks).

  16. lawl

btw...check flickr - just uploaded something you might be interested in......

  17. phill, don't bother...I ruined it for him. I am number 1000

    oh lawd

  18. i maed demo for you. MSN?

  19. aye you got them wired up? how do they sound compared to the MQs? iirc those particular MQs sounded fairly different than the standard ones...I just remember the bridge pickup had a bit more attack, and the neck was a little more bassy...not as loud as the bridge pickup either. (though the amount of bass balanced it out??) lovely for cleans either way.

  20. hey sexy

shatter should be here in a few hours. I'm really not sure about switching out the MQ pickup now....sherpa_man told me it was wound to match the neck pickup which was pretty high output.

To be honest, I don't use the neck MQ in my other one for high gain, and I don't have a bridge MQ in any of my guitars. How are you finding the bridge MQ in your black-o-caster with higher gain stuff? (I can't remember how they were when I had them)

  21. Hey - If you notice an unfamiliar email added you to MSN, that's me :)

Anyhow, what's up with the two bands currently?

  22. oh no you did-ent! I'm good thanks :) What's the next guitar going to be like?

  23. hai phill

    how are you?

and how is your guitar? i think i read on muselive you said you put a different pickup in?

  24. Cool. So basically, you've got two guitars going at the same time now? Would like to hear that sometime. The sounds on those tracks are really fuzzy, but another layer would make it even better haha
