  1. I think that’s the natural Muse fan’s response to Glen’s new project but I wouldn’t pin too many hopes on it tbh. He was liking tweets suggesting some small Muse gigs associated with it just before he announced he was off but that could easily have just been jovial. It’s more than possible he wants to build it up without relying on connections to his past job. That said, if Muse are planning some small shows anyway, maybe there’s no reason why not. The type of venues Glen’s working with are a lot smaller than SBE though so, yeah, tickets would be beyond a nightmare :chuckle: I wouldn’t even like to imagine...

Glasto’s a big no though, way too soon. They had 6 years between each of the last performances.

Yeah, we can only hope. I hate the pit of sales where I just sit for 3 hours getting the no no no whilst everyone on twitters screaming they got em (so many years, so much nope).

Meh fair enough ref Glasto, Just trying to work out the rotation and it seemed next on the list, what do you think then?

  2. So with This whole thing Glenn is setting up I would be VERY VERY surprised if they don't get involved and do some small gigs there (hurrah to pit sales for that).

Hope we get some gigs in the lead up to this though, maybe a bit like the physco tour (which was the best night of my life EXETER FTW). Heres hoping.

Whats the next UK Festival we think...tends to be a roll around the same ones ish in a cycle so Glasto...... :s

  3. This is the first time I've been on since drones came out but I go on muse Reddit every day. It makes me sad to think there might be some people still lurking here thinking they are the last few left when the chat has just moved elsewhere lol

Socail media---the demise of the board. :( So glad to see threads coming back form the depths again.

Anyway on topic so I don't get bumped, I loved it, cheesy yes, smushy, yes, tingles, yup. Loving the growth and change. Yeah old stuff was good but so was living with your mum, things change, people and bands evole and I'm still on this bus.

  4. Great movie! The sound engineering was phenomenal and was almost like a gig seeing MUSE on the big screen.

I was pleased to see that Morgan Nicholls got some screen time (he deserves it).

That was some quality cabassing there, I did have a little giggle to myself when the dude two seats from me said quite loudly, whose the dude with the primary school instrument.

And yeah, our cinema sound was on and off, one minute it was like you were there, the next it was so quiet,it was like MUSE was too loud and they had to turn it down for the neighbors, which was a shame. all in all though was awesome, gave another view of the stage that I didn't see from my squished viewpoint.

  5. This sums it up quite nicely, though I've never felt any shame whatsoever over my love for them. 10 years plus here (although I think a part of me is holding on for nostalgic purposes)! Just wish they'd actually do some fan service...

Same, I have never felt ashamed of it either, wish I could time travel and tell little 15 year old me those bullies who took the piss because of my favorite band would then been at the same gig as me 15 years later saying how much they love them too.

  6. According to some guy who called Ticketmaster 80% of the tickets were sold (split between the two presales) yesterday... One good thing about that is at least that there will probably be a majority of hardcores voting.

But I don't feel sorry for you peeps without tickets :(

Been keeping quiet but as tomorrow approaches I fear I may end up screaming. No R&L link after having a ticket for the weekend. Ticketmaster site not working then crashing....and now this...seriously, what a mess. Awesome idea for fans to get the majority of the tickets but when it doesn't work then fffffffff.

Will try tomorrow, will probably fail, I know someone there will film it though so hey, theres always that.

  7. Amazing night this! such a great crowd also.

Almost never got in though... My ticket wouldn't scan as someone else had apparently already gone in on the same barcode. After being told to go back to box office, It was then I found out that I'd been an absolute idiot and posted a picture of all 3 nights at the O2 on Twitter and Instagram. Someone in the space of 24 hours had copied my barcode, created an e-ticket (i'm assuming) and gone in before me, stopping me from getting in. Not sure if this was actually sold or someone desperate to get in themselves. So obviously after being told this and told I probably wouldnt be able to get in, I really started to panic! After a 15 min wait of not knowing, they give me a spare ticket as a gesture of good will... I could have grabbed assistant out of the booth and hugged her so hard!

After all this drama it also ended up being the best night of the Drones tour for me. Still angry that it happened to me, but it's also my own fault. Lesson learned.

    Thats horrid.

I had a spare as a mate who had two tickets was sick so couldn't make it. I gave it back to the box office when I went in so they could as they say "give it to someone who was a victim of Fraud". Glad to hear that they actually did that.

Also, did anyone else get told they needed to be re-seated as a camera had been placed in thier seats....only to see later on that all the seats had people in them #someonefuckedup

  8. apparently in the first few minutes as well (coming on stage iirc) but my source might be wrong

God, I hope someone had that on camera.

I was discussing with the bf how he didn't use the walkway, mainly because he would fall on his arse. Little did we know he already had!

  9. what a bloody amazing gig, so happy they played micro cuts and CE, and the rest, oh my god! :facemelt: if only they played that sort of sets more often, not just when they think they have something to prove to the metlers or whatever. anyway. loved it.<3 my neck is still sore from all the headbanging!

(ps if anyone stayed in jurys inn in derby and found a massive blue rain poncho in the entrance/lobby area let me know!)

Same here, Dead Star made me tear up a little (lame).

I was at the Jurys Inn and remember seeing something, have you called reception there as I swear I saw someone handing it in..... To be fair though they probably threw it given the amount of ponchos!

  10. I'm so excited for this! I submit my last Open University assignment (ever! Woo hoo!) on 19th March and now get to celebrate by going to this gig! :D I haven't told my fiancé yet that we've got tickets - I think I might just surprise him on the night!

I've never been to the venue before - does anyone know where the best place to park will be? We'll be coming up from Plymouth - I can't believe they're finally playing fairly close to where I live, hooray! Can't wait!

I booked a space in someones driveway just in case. It was only 8 quid on justpark.com

Although I hear parking there is quite good.
