  1. Not was I until I got this, normally a Les Paul guy, but having seen the quality of this and the way it plays, I could be swayed I think
  2. Two Strats for sale, both with different Roland gubbins inside of them, Roland Ready done by me (crudely) and the other a G-5 VG Strat On eBay, but happy to take offers on here VG G-5 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331213666656?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Roland Ready conversion http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331213684344?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Dave.
  3. The only purchased ones so far are the 68 from Top Jimi, think it had around 10 profiles of different amp sweet spots. Using a TwoRock clean (free), Morgan AC30 for mid / dirt, Super lead '68 Profile 3 for main dirt, Super lead Profile 4 for darker dirt (maybe for a strat?) and 5 is assigned to an acoustic amp profile to be used with my Roland Strat on acoustic mode. I've only setup 1 'Performance' so far, that's my 5 amps for slot 1 or 128!
  4. That's the one! The only profile(s) I've purchased so far, some great free ones available on the rig exchange
  5. Sold my Line6 / Tech21 rig and got a Kemper, DXR10 and FCB1010. So impressed, my current favourite is a Marshall '68 Superlead profile I purchased
  6. 2013 Firebird V - White - For Trade. Bought this in January 2014, love the look of it, but the mini 'humbucker' sound just isn't for me and I really can't be bothered to go down the route of swapping out pickups. The guitar is mint, only left the house to be setup by CA Guitarworks in Baldock, never actually got round to playing in a band with this one. Dunlop strap locks fitted, white strap included also includes the Gibson Hardcase. After a trade something else with humbuckers, of around equal value. I could perhaps add a little your way if you have something I'm interested in. Guitar must be in excellent condition to be considered Based near Hitchin in Herts. Photo of the actual guitar taken today: Dave.
  7. This 'live rig' consists of: 1x POD HD500, slightly modified to remove the rubber feet so it would fit flush in a pedal case, it currently also has glow in the dark tape over each of the pedals so you can see what you are switching to on stage, I do have some spare tape too. 1x Line 6 Expression pedal, this enables you to assign a volume control (not using one of the POD's effects banks) and a Wah / Whammy, whatever else takes your fancy. 1x Stagg pedal board - not the best quality in the world, but it's kept the pod in good shape. I glued some thick rubber strips to the bottom of it, so it wouldn't move around when on the floor. 1x Tech 21 Power engine - 60w colourless amp. 1x Amp cover made especially for the Tech 21, I sent the company the measurements and they made it for me. All works perfectly, you can get some great tones out of this, I've used it for both rehearsals and have played a gig with it. Open to offers, looking for around the £400 area, not after a trade as I need to fund the purchase of an FRFR to go with my newest buy. The gear is located near Hitchin, Herts. Guitars obviously not included A video showing the setup used in a practice, the sound is coming from a GoPro, so I guess this just might help show it's useable at volume: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-AkbE9jbpI Edited to add the eBay links for the items separately: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331130321953?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331130330073?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  8. Thanks both It's a 2008, so proper ebony board etc.. - Starting to yellow a bit now too, more than the photos show anyway
  9. Bought myself a Midtown Custom back in November, then swapped all the hardware out for gold (unless it's a silverburst, a custom should have gold hardware ) Gibson Midtown Custom - Gold Hardware Conversion / Before - After by Dave Witchalls, on Flickr A few photos of my other guitars: 2004 Gibson Les Paul Standard (Desert burst) by Dave Witchalls, on Flickr Fender Strat - 'Roland Ready' conversion by Dave Witchalls, on Flickr Fender Strat - 'Roland Ready' conversion by Dave Witchalls, on Flickr Gibson Les Paul Custom - Alpine White by Dave Witchalls, on Flickr Fender Jaguar HH by Dave Witchalls, on Flickr Fender Jazz Bass by Dave Witchalls, on Flickr My Gibson 'collection' by Dave Witchalls, on Flickr Dave.
  10. Decided to make my '00 / '01 Mex Strat 'Roland Ready' with the Roland GK-KIT-GT3 - worked out quite well in the end, also worked first time which I was pleasantly surprised with given that I had to extend the wiring loom Completed 'Roland Ready' Fender Strat by Dave Witchalls, on Flickr YouTube vid showing more pictures whilst playing (badly a lot of the time) some of the patches in the Roland GR-20 I bought yesterday. Dave.

    Boss GT-10

Anyone have any opinions on these? Not really playing guitar much these days, and I could shift my current Boss pedals, whammy and cry baby and have change from a second hand one of these - not sure it's worth the effort though? Dave.
  12. Thanks for the replies I bought the Super Champ XD after giving it a demo, very nice little amp Dave.
