  1. :yesey: It's one of the key scenes in the movie. Well, for us Cillian fans if anything :chuckle:

Ooo good sountrack, eh? I just remembered them having Smashing Pumpkin's "1979", which was pretty damn awesome. Should give the album a listen in that case.

Ok, so according to Wiki, Peacock is set for release on April 20. Guess what I'll be downloading around that time? :awesome:

  2. Ahhh, YES! That was such a sweet moment  It's probably one of my favourite movies from him because it's not too Hollywood and has a kind of a downbeat charm to it. Oh and of course! Who can forget Red Eye?! In particular, who can forget that one scene where him and Rachel Mcadams get into bit of a scuffle in a certain confined washroom stall? :eyebrows:

  3. I watched every movie you just listed (I'm a hardcore Cillian fan as well!) in addition to "The Wind That Shakes The Barley", which was GREAT. And On The Edge was brilliant as well. I have never been so attracted to a mental patient before :chuckle: And OMG, the scenes with him and the girl? *fans self*

  4. Yeah, ever since Juno, Ellen Paige is definitely getting more famous. I dunno, I guess it's cos Cillian as the lead male isn't enough to achieve mass appeal. Audiences just don't seem to be warming up to him as much as they should :indiff: Have you seen the movie "Watching The Detectives"? That was another straight-to-video movie that he did. The movie itself wasn't AMAZING, but his performance totally was, especially the part where he was pretending to be a rock star *dreamy sigh*

  5. Totally realized that I don't have you as a friend here, even though I do on Facebook

Man, I really ought to visit this forum more often.

  6. Indeed, he is definitely looking good :eyebrows:

However, I was reading the discussion comments, and people were saying how the movie was going to go STRAIGHT-TO-DVD?! As good as that sounds for us (in that we get to watch it sooner), I think it deserves to be shown in theatres due to the intriguing plotline, and cos Cillian is such a brilliant actor. I guess they just didn't think that there was enough star power to garner enough interest in the movie :(

  7. OMG, is that him in drag, AGAIN?

The premise of the movie does sound pretty interesting however :D

  8. Oh does he now?? I know that he has some movies that he was working on, including Inception (which I REALLY want to see) with Leonardo DiCaprio, but I don't know when they come out!

  9. Merci! He is one finnne specimen of a man, isn't he?

  10. Aw, Maffoo!

A very Merry Christmas to you too!

  11. Thanks for accepting my add, fellow Darkshine-r! ;)

  12. Nearing the end of Season 3. Got 3 more episodes to go before I'm done  How about you? The Christmas break is just around the corner, so you'll be CM-ing in no time :yesey:

I believe so! It was back when I was a celebrity gossip junkie that I found out about this.

OMG, the wedding episode of The Office was :awesome:. The part where Jim and Pam got married on The Maid of The Mist was sooooo cute. To be honest, I haven't been doing the whole workout + TV watching routine for the past while. Ever since I started working, I've been finding that I'm waaay too tired to work out. Though I should at least do some weight lifting. I've got some two-pounders, so it's manageable

GAH, tell me about it! The UK has all things awesome. They have amazing concerts/concert venues, special editions of CDs, and Topshop! Not to mention, cute British boys ;)

  13. Heyo! S'all good :). I haven't been on the board for awhile anyways cos I've been too busy with other stuff. Work and TV shows to be exact! :p

Isn't Wentworth Miller on some other show right now? Like another installment of CSI or Law and Order? Don't remember which one. ZOMG yes, you must go on CM and The Office marathons when you have the time! And do what I do, which is watch the episodes online while working out (I use one of those bike thingies). It's quite productive that way ;)

Shieeet, Wembley and Manchester?! I'll be looking out for clips on Youtube fo sho!

  14. Well, I think for admin positions, you don't need to be particularly good at math. Only like basic math I would think. I haven't had to do any complicated algorithms as of yet :p And I completely agree with you. It's beyond overwhelming and difficult to find an occupation that you can see yourself doing for the rest of your life. Hence why I am still really undecided on what to do. I'm contemplating taking some courses too, but seeing as I'm not sure what I want to go into, I don't even know what kind of courses to take!:LOL:

Oh wow, talk about extreme temptation! I don't know how long I would be able to hold out for knowing that I have the physical copy of the album right before my eyes. It's great that you love the album though! Or else it wouldn't have made that great of a birthday present :p

Omigosh, how did the gig go???!! I know it's been awhile since the gig, but I haven't had the chance to visit the board lately, so I couldn't ask you about it. Unfortunately, no Canadian dates have been announced as of yet. Buuuut Matt DID say that they will stop by a few Canadian cities early next year, so I'm not worrying too much :)

  15. Ouuu, that sounds like loads of fun! If I had the talent for it, I would so consider studying film as well. Either that or fashion. OH or music :awesome: It's too bad most of the fun occupations are so tough to get into :(. Anyways, it would be awesome if you become a film producer one day! Lemme know if that works out for you ;)

There are a huge variety of jobs that you can get with a Business degree, depending on what you stream in. Some streams include Accounting (which is such a bore :sleepy:), Human Resources, Marketing, Economics, and Finance (what I streamed in cos it seemed the most practical at the time). The types of jobs you can get with a Finance stream are Financial Advisors/Analysts, which are basically people that help others figure out how to handle their finances, what to invest in, etc. I don't know if I'm really cut out for a job like that, so I'm still indecisive on what I want to do. Right now, I'm in an administrative position, so I'll probably stick with it until I can decide on what to do.

Wow, you have a lot of self-restraint! As soon as I heard that the snippets were available, I immediately listened to them  Thankfully, I wasn't disappointed with them, or else I would have been going into the album with low expectations. And I agree. The new album is pretty good. I like it a lot better than BH&R for one thing. Exogenesis is simply :awesome:

Ahhh, I so missed the EMAs! But I heard that Muse lost to Placebo for the best alternative act (I think that was the category they were nominated for). I guess I don't mind too much. I'm a big Placebo fan as well.

I've seen the video! And I SO AGREE with you. It was a good video overall (I especially love the part where Matt plugs his guitar into his shoe, the rolling bass guitar contraption, and of course Dom's bum shots :chuckle:), but the dancing girl WAS annoying. I think it was the way she was dancing that irritated me :erm:

  16. Funny thing is I've only seen the first episode of Prison Break and none of the rest. The TV show streaming site that I used was acting retarded on me and wouldn't load the second episode properly. So I just gave up and never watched it ever since  I dunno, the premise of the show isn't really all too appealing to me. Though the girly side of me found Wentworth Miller to be pretty decent eye candy at least ;)

Haha so you gave up on Heroes eh? I probably should have given up on it after Season 2, but for some reason, I can't seem to stop watching. I guess I still see a glimmer of hope that it'll suddenly become awesome again :p Though I swear, the Claire storyline makes me want to kick myself in the face. It's just sooo repetitive and annoying :noey:

OMG you muuuuust watch The Office. The current season is off to a bit of a slow start, but it's still fairly good nonetheless. But earlier seasons were definitely better, so you should check em out fo sho!

  17. Oh wow, that sounds like so much fun!

And  about dressing up as Xena; too funny. You do look a bit Xena-esque judging from your pic ;)

Tis a shame you were at Teignmouth before Muse stopped by; that gig looked AH-MAY-ZING. Are you planning on going to any of the gigs for their current tour? I'm still waiting for them to announce their North American dates. Hopefully (though I think it's likely) they'll stop by Toronto sometime early next year!

  18. OH I remember those names! I guess they've either grown out of Muse or the forum itself :(

I was gone for quite awhile as well, probably about 1-2 years or so cos I was too occupied with uni. But now that I'm done, I can spend as much time as I want on the board :awesome:

Filming you say? Care to elaborate? :)

  19. I used to only watch a few shows, but ever since uni ended, I've been watching TONS. Currently watching CM, The Office, Community, 30 Rock, Ugly Betty, America's Next Top Model, Glee, Vampire Diaries (:$) and Heroes (despite the recent suckage, I'm still watching it for some reason ).

AH I am so happy for you! 'Bout time you had your Muse cherry popped :yesey: Man, have you heard what other Musers are saying about the tour? A lot of em are complaining about the setlists and how they're basically the same for every gig. I hope for your sake that the ones that you're planning on going to won't follow the exact same setlist. For me personally, I wouldn't mind what setlist they go with since I haven't seen them for so long. Though I would so love to hear some of the oldies like Showbiz, Unintended, Citizen Erased, and Microcuts :supersad:

  20. Oh hey! I remember you as well :)

Not too many of the old boardies (circa Absolution days) are still around these days, so it's nice to see a familiar face.

Btw, I am LOVING your captions/lolz. Keep em coming!

  21. Oh really? That's OSSUM :awesome: So what kind of occupation are you thinking of getting into once you're done with school? I just finished my final year of uni in August. My major is a lot more boring though: Business. But I suppose it's not bad cos it's practical. I can always do more fun stuff on the side

Oh man, I hate going into movies with high expectations cos of what other people say about it. In some cases, I don't see what the hype is all about and am left disappointed. I can't recall any particular movie where I've felt that way before, but I'm sure there are quite a few. Though I do remember this Clive Owen movie that I saw not too long ago. I think it was called The Inside Man or something like that. Denzel Washington was in it as well as a detective/policeman, and Clive played a bank robber. The ratings for that movie were pretty good, and while I thought it was good as well, I didn't think it was great. Something about it was just a bit off, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Could have been the dialogue and/or the way it was delivered.

Oh yeah, Helana Bonham Carter plays the Queen of Hearts and it's pretty hard to tell it's her cos of the makeup and the inflated head :chuckle:. Anne Hathaway plays The White Queen (or something like that), and is unrecognizable as well cos of the makeup and white hair. It looks like such a goooood movie; I so need to see it.

Aw, you should check out the other movies as well! They're pretty good :). I haven't had the chance to finish all of the books (I think I've still got the last 3 to read), but the ones I have read are amazing. They are really well written and entertaining. I would recommend them for suuure.

  22. Aw yeah, I know how that's like. Back when I was in uni, I was always behind on all of my shows because of assignments and exams :indiff:

That episode was pretty good though despite the Reid :supersad:ness. It's probably one of my favs in addition to the season finale of S2. I just finished downloading S3 yesterday, so I'll be starting it in no time :awesome:

Awww, so it's going to be your first time seeing Muse eh? That must be exciting! I assure you that you will have a BLAST. They are amazing live, the best I've seen out of all the concerts I've been to. Let me know how it goes!

  23. Ouuu I see. In that case, I'll be sure to not spoil anything for you then! But I will say this: you will be :supersad: in an upcoming episode focused on Reid. Though you may already know what I'm referring to. I think it's been mentioned on the CM thread way back before I even (briefly) mentioned it.

Man, seeing Muse in Vegas sounds so badass. They have some really nice concert venues there, so it's guaranteed to be an :awesome: experience. I've only seen them once unfortunately, and that was back when BH&R first came out (2005-2006ish). So it's definitely been awhile. I think Muse have only come to Toronto a total of 2 times, the first being when Absolution came out. I had wanted to go see them then, but I didn't know any fellow Muse fans at the time :(. Coincidently enough, my parents were at a concert too that same night (for an opera singer named Sarah Brightman though, not Muse :p)
