  1. agreed. gonna have a proper listen in my studio tomorrow. find all YouTube clips this is too crazy, and I still have a glimmer of hope it's just a big misunderstanding ....
  2. see my post, you can check that file yourself
  3. Okay, I posted this challenge over at /r/muse as well. Here's a link to a comparison of HD Audio and FLAC CD masters of Hysteria and Knights of Cydonia https://mega.nz/#!fYYlRKYQ!DfcZR6cgOsdzwwf6IvTuLLd6L_sHRXeOc6FQ3P4nc3c [it's only 1 min of each song] WITHOUT using a spectral analyser, tell me the timestamps below where the masters change back and forth. It changes multiple times back and forth over each clip. Obvisouly if they have been remastered so obviously, everyone will get the timestamps. Enjoy
  4. I bought two seats tickets. gan fucking mental on the first night in the pit, then the next day tier two to get an overall view of the drone show. can't wait!
  5. That's brutal. I've only ever had that happen to me on SeeTickets. The counter at the bottom has never lied (surprisingly) to me on TicketBastard.
  6. I know right? Seems like a cheap way of gaining more sales.
  7. safe! got my tickets at 9.01. The most expensive Muse gig yet.. fingers crossed it's a good one! They better play Reapers and then chris shouts 'Here Comes The Drones' and then they fly in, or i'll be sorely disappointed.
  8. they weren't specific about muse there really... I think it's just a general reply to keep you happy. I think if they had anything it would be up with the rest. why wait? when maiden played in 2013 they had their own team mix the audio and were credited as such, in the sky arts footage. best case scenario, that is what happens. worst case, muse sit on the footage and release just one song ad xmas present.
  9. what is concerning is that the other bands all have little snippets on the download youtube page, but muse do not. I have a feeling they asked to not be involved with any video stuff...
  10. Not gonna lie, been a good year so far for muse gigs. Manchester academy and now this! Think they may be saving defector for their own tour... I know just seeing that alone is enough for me to go. They went down so well. I was in the pit most of the time, the OoS stuff went down well, but so did all the usuals. Just a great all round atmosphere!
  11. agreed. I went for the whole festival in 2013, was my first full festival and it was great. No knobs at all really. However, I went to T in the park for a day to see Rage Against The Machine, knob heads everywhere. And I went to Leeds Festival for a day to see Eminem. Knob heads everywhere. The main problem with those festivals, is a lot of people don't really know what music is, or have never been to a regular gig. The same people who work all week and 'live for the weekend' to get mashed, are the same people who will go to the popular festivals regardless of the line up, as all music is to them is the radio, and then leeds/reading festival. In my experience, these types of festival-goers are much more likely to turn to knob-headerry in order to pass the time
  12. for anyone wanting heads up on merch, my mate sent me this. I'm planning to leave around 2pm, get there about 5-6pm. Have a stroll in and then see muse, and sit in my car for another 5 or so hours. I assume getting out of the car park will take a while! If this set isn't special, and I get soaked through, I may be a little dissapointed! See yas!
  13. If the vast majority won't even recognise, then why bother pushing it so loud at all? it does nothing better, and only makes it worse for the people who can hear the problems. I don't mind a loud as fuck master as long as it's done well. This album has audible digital clipping on it and it is uncomfortable to listen to. I shouldn't have to suffer because some butt-nugget can't hear a song through his 0.5inch fucking phone speaker. The argument that 'it doesn't matter' is just going to bring the art form of making music down and down and down. If a load of people supposedly 'at the top of the food chain' in terms of making an album (the band, the producer, engineer, mastering engineers) don't seem to care then what hope is left? Volume will eventually be leveled out again through iTunes Radio, and Spotify, and YouTube is starting to apply volume leveling to it's playlists, so hopefully in the long term it will go back to not being an issue.
  14. My heart sank when I got my preorder HD files... :'( Good to see there was a different mastering engineer... but even so he may have only been for the physical pressing. If he's given the same files, what else could he do to minimize the damage? Hopefully we'll see come monday
  15. I went to download in 2013, and honestly if you get there for Faith No More, stand around and keep your place until Muse you will have a great view. That's all we did for Slipknot/Maiden/Rammstein and we got perhaps 10-15 rows from the front? It sounds far but for a festival that's close enough. Maybe not barrier, but pretty close I think. I have no desire to be near the front. It's such a squash that there's no room to groove!! If you really reallly want the barrier, i'm sure some at least a few people just stay there all day. You have something to lean on, after all... Gates open in the morning. Your ticket is valid all day, so you should be able to get in from the very start.
