  1. Ticketmaster advice: https://media.ticketmaster.co.uk/tm/en-gb/img/static/pdf/muse/Muse-Event-Reminder-Email.pdf Including walking map: https://www.london-stadium.com/sites/londonstadium.com/files/media/map-02-walking-bridges_0.pdf and general on getting there: https://www.london-stadium.com/plan-your-visit/gettinghere Tube/trains are generally a bit of a walk, though Stratford isn't the only option but probably the main one and the one they'll likely push people towards. TfL journey planner factors in walking reasonably well, I've tried others and end up with little options getting home as they assume you're not going to walk 20 mins. https://tfl.gov.uk/ Also, Ticketmaster still selling tickets.
  2. Searched on those and can find discussion but no actual announcement. Anyway, the other question remains about timings, though main concern for me is when it ends and how long it will take to get out. Trains to catch and all that.
  3. Credit/debit cards have end dates, aka expiry dates. Some have start or valid from dates Enter whatever you've got in the relevant boxes.
  4. It's the legit official Muse ticket source, and yes it mentions CrowdSurge on the confirmation page. Just checked and there's a frame inside the main HTML which is the payment form and the frame itself is indeed properly encrypted. Could have made it more reassuring, but yes it's encrypted.
  5. The bands and music industry should be considering as after all they are seeing nothing of the profit resellers and touts make! They seem to kick up enough fuss about piracy and grey market importing which "deprives" them of so much money (they claim), but yet care not about this. However the government would have to pass the law and that would mean hitting the taxes they get from the sales.
  6. I feel the next step to put off the touts is to either have a paid for fan club that gets you various goodies and exclusive pre-sale links (or the club buys a block allocation of tickets and flogs them internally), or go down the Glastonbury route with pre-registration and ID on the tickets. Or another thought is to do as the touts do and arrange a large group of forum members with plenty of spare time and resources to hit the sites with a lot of PCs and browser windows, and buy up loads of tickets to be dished out to the forum for face value. Maybe people interested put money into a pot to pay for it all, and then they get as many as possible and dish out to those who have paid up front. Any money left is returned.
  7. Noting that you need to have registered on muse.mu (not the forums) before the gigs were announced to qualify. a) Wembley Stadium, there's a place to collect tickets on the day. b) not officially if Seetickets say no. You'd have to get someone to receive the tickets and ship them on, but I think they can only send them to the credit card holder's address.
  8. Aside from it being popular with less reputable types because it's quick and easy to set up and there's no real way to trace the person you are paying to. There's also little protection on your side if things fall through, especially if you use your bank account (paypal's preferred funding method), a debit card or paypal funds. P.S. Still more Teignmouth tickets available from the official sites like seetickets, at face value! (collection at box office only now though).
  9. As a further example as to why buying from touts is not a great idea, take the current events surrounding Michael Jackson. If you'd bought from touts at an inflated price, you're pretty much never going to get your money back in the case of cancelled events. You might be lucky and get the face value back from the ticket office, if they don't ask you to provide a receipt from an authorised ticket seller. That's about the best you can hope for.
  10. Besides, think of it as if someone's mugged you, as essentially these guys have ripped you off. Yes you may get in to see the band and you may be desperate enough to pay the money, but it's not far off stealing to get what you want in my opinion. None of the extra money you pay is going to the band. It's going to fund the tout's new Beamer or drug habit. Though the touts these days are organised groups (gangs if you like) and likely the individual tout only gets a small cut, and the rest goes to the guys organising it, and who knows if they are legit or maybe a criminal gang. You could be funding terrorism! (to use a cliché the government loves).
  11. Sadly that site is still operating, despite much attention judging by a quick google search on the domain. Should be shut down asap as unlike touts, this is complete fraud. One for the police basically. This forum seems pretty useful though for checking out the scams... http://www.safeconcerts.com/forum/forum.asp?forum_urn=124
  12. Not to mention the Premier League in particular has a lot of clout and a vast amount of money. They can afford to throw lawyers at eBay such that eBay will just give in even if there's no actual law against touts. Premier & Football League are as bad as touts in my book though. They ensure everyone pays absolutely the maximum prices possible, limit supply to increase demand, force people to go the season ticket route, and then flog the TV rights to premium TV companies, blocking fans from seeing matches unless they pay up yet more money. What gets me is the likes of the BBC, ITV and even Sky Sports News cannot show just a tiny clip (like of a goal) live because the TV rights are so stitched up. Though at least we do get highlights, but it's the same old handful most of the time. Oh, and then they wade in against anyone with a camera at a match also to ensure their official photos get premium money. Yet most gigs these days let modest snapshot cameras go without much fuss. Sorry, went off on a bit of a rant there
  13. Don't play their game! Use the touts and you only make the situation worse. Besides, you are likely going to be swapping your genuine ticket for a fake one. If the tout seems pleased about the swap that'll be the giveaway. If he's got better tickets and they're real, he'll probably want to charge a (large) fee for the swap. Just swap here at no cost (except postage maybe). First though, I'd keep checking for new standing tickets. New tickets come up a lot as people cancel, and they could spring up right up until November! Then you can sell the other tickets (at face value please). Maybe try for standing on the 12th also. I've only done 3 Muse gigs so far, but can assure you the seating areas can be just as much a crowd. In fact you'll be hard pressed to find anyone sitting anyway. The only difference really is you're not getting crushed, you can't jump up and down like a loon, and you actually get to see the band and not 100s of heads in front of you;) (being not too tall makes that a problem for me).
  14. eBay's rules on tickets with contractual limits... http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/contracts.html i.e., "nothing to do with us" basically. Though how enforceable these contracts are anyway is questionable. I suspect consumer rights allow you to sell your purchase regardless of what the contract says, and regardless, although we're up in arms about people who take the piss, most of us here would probably sell their ticket at face value if they can't make it or it's a spare yet that would breach the same contract.
  15. Well it's legal for shares (e.g. short selling)... but then look at the mess share traders in the city got us into doing things like that! Some retailers that take orders will take them without having obtained stock yet and put in a purchase later once they've got enough cash. Might be against ebay rules though. Not sure.
  16. That's the disturbing thing. Just how many people are getting ripped off by them. Do they even know that they could wait until tomorrow and likely for the next few weeks as more tickets will trickle out. Why on earth pay £150 for a pre-sale ticket? ! Okay you could say they only have themselves to blame, but then it's been shown time and again there are many (especially kids) who just don't realise what's going on until too late. I do feel sorry for the younger lot who are so desperate and get ripped off this way. I'd love to be able to comment on the auctions to tell them to just get official tickets tomorrow. And then of course there's no guarantee that what's on ebay is genuine anyway.
  17. May as well post a pic from my home town.
  18. It was in episode 9 of Confidential. Though I forget what it was used for. Somewhere near the beginning. Fits in well though to say "Doctor Who... take a bow" as it was the episode paired with The Family of Blood (the closing episode of the 2-parter started with Human Nature) and truly that episode was fantastic (unlike the series finale).
