  1. Whispering into a mic with distortion on it? I'm sure dwydav has mentioned that method a few times.
  2. It's very Muse, isn't it? Not bad though, however, your guitar tone seems incredibly thin at points, especially when clean, which detracts from the quality of the entire thing really. How did you record guitar? The track transitions are fine. I like the intro and outro tracks and the drums at the beginning of Authority Issues. What did you think of The Angry Dome, by the way? Also, whilst I'm here, my main band (Studio Tokyo!) is going to be recording a full length album over the next few months, watch this space.
  3. It was such a thrown together recording that we recorded all the vocals at the same time in such a way that they couldn't be mixed afterward (all the instruments were recorded with just ambient mics then kick and snare). Max is the most emoy, and if you saw him you'd agree, haha, it's also mostly him that makes the voices seem Americany...excuses excuses! But yes, definitely constructive, although I find that trying to make your voice not sound American makes you sound like a Dick van Dyke Cockney. Thank you very much for your praise, anyway. I'll get it up on another site and listen to your stuff soon!
  4. Scratched and Scorned is a pretty good song, and probably the most memorable of those three tracks. I like the accuracy of the harmonics, and the bit where one of the harmonics is extended slightly (I think it's before the main riff comes in the first time?). Nothing really stuck out for me in the others. Also, in return, perhaps you can comment on my new band's stuff? The Angry Dome. Zipped Version of the EP.
  5. I thought it was something on the Kaoss Pad too. Failing that I thought it could well be using the kill switch to get the chopping right, but I haven't seen any live videos and apparently this is not the case.
  6. Studio Tokyo! -- .etah My band's EP in 200kbps+ mp3. If you like it enough to buy it you can do so thorugh the shop link on the website. It comes complete with pretentious packaging.
  7. Thanks for your kind words. Please check out my band too: Link (the first four tracks are the EP) The songwriting is good, but the drums are very overbearing. I think for the songs that you're writing the guitar should be big, massive and in your face. The tone is more or less perfect, but you're hearing it from the other side of the wall in which the amp is, except on the last track, where it all hangs together far better, except I would give the bass more influence. Lots of potential, there just needs to be a little bit more work done on cleaning up the mix, in my opinion. EDIT: the noisy bits towards the end of Sawface I like a lot
  8. It's good. The production is nice and the music is very listenable. I like Ernest too, the funk vibe you've got is awesome.
