  1. They know how inappropriately priced the Brazil gigs are, it's going to be a real kick in the pants if that's the setlist or extent of the length.

The thing is, their shows are still really enjoyable, it's still quality so they get great feedback from the crowd. I guess that allows them to get lazy.

I wonder if they don't enjoy playing shows that much anymore. Has it become a chore to them?

  2. Muse need to take a leaf out of Frank Turner's book, namely, that when he releases a new album the setlists get longer. Frank's been playing 24-27 songs night in night out on his current tour. With seven albums behind them, I see no reason for why Muse are limiting themselves to 18 songs, when they should be pushing for 24 at the very least.

    Paul McCartney plays 41.

No kidding. 8 songs in the encore alone.

  3. I would assume they'll just have to be escorted from a side.

Of course, knowing them, they'll be an entire false floor built so they can enter from below. :chuckle:

    :

Obviously they'll be flown in by a drone.

  4. The Little Animal...

It's worth pointing out that Oracle Arena is **not** a stadium. Not even close. Stadiums are generally 60K+ people (think of places where football games are held in the US) - in the SF bay area that's the nearby O.co coliseum. Arenas, by contrast, are in the 20K range (think of places where basketball or hockey games are held in the US).

I've seen a lot of shows in stadiums over the years, including Muse a couple times... and they absolutely killed it. I've also seen countless shows in arenas, including Muse at Oracle arena a few times - they've all been good shows.

Muse benefits greatly from not only being a great live band but by having a really fantastic sound guy named Marc Carolan who's been with them for more than a decade, he can make even the lousiest venues sound great.

Having seen them in venues of all shapes and sizes over the years, my advice is see them wherever you can :)

Ha, thanks. I'll get my venue vocabulary right next time.

Did you Happen to see them at the Concourse Design Center in SF in 2006. Cause the sound at that show was unbearably bad.

  5. But they have to be able to afford the dildo without compromising their rock star lifestyles... it's just a vicious cycle, "the man" always keeping you down...

You have a point. Maybe we should raise funds so they can afford a dildo without having to release their worst single yet.

  6. They are, plain and simple, not going to be able to sustain their tours featuring giant idiotic center stages and inflatable dildos with acrobats if they don't focus at least a little on trying to get songs on the radio...

I don't know. A viral video with some inflatable dildo action might just do the trick instead.

  7. Next steps:

    1. Some random Muser opts that they may also play The Globalist with an orchestra.

    2. Boardies get excited and think it's real because several people have now tweeted about it.

    3. Thousands stay home from work/stay up at night and install a VPN to watch a live stream.

    4. Only Mercy is played.

    5. Tom and the band get bombarded with angry tweets because Muse broke all their promises and owe us what we were expecting.
