Whether it was nerves or something else, in my memory he was often off key singing Save Me live, which is probably why they dropped it. I always assumed it was Chris who didn’t want to perform it anymore. He wobbled on Liquid State as well, but that one is much less vulnerable and more forgiving and fun live. (Though I still don’t know what Matt didn’t sing backing vocals or threw in a solo. Massive missed opportunity).
I think the consensus here was that Chris didn’t enjoy that much of the spotlight, but I don’t remember if that’s what he himself had said, or if that was just the vibe fans were getting.

I don’t know much about Zedd, so I don’t know how much of this is Zedd and how much is Muse.
Musically, it leads me to believe more and more that Matt/Muse needs to do finally do an entire movie score. Heck, even start with a video game score to get the juices flowing.
Vocally, it reminds me once again that I really haven’t enjoyed the sound of Matt’s voice in recent years and that it can really ruin the experience of listening to their otherwise enjoyable releases. -

I didn’t know it would be released in Atmos 3D on Amazon music! Gonna go home and try it on my system later, looking forward to it.

I like stripped down RBS.
The B&H single was released with some fun gimmicky software to remove tracks back in the day, so everyone created the without-guitar version back then already.I’ve heard many great live versions of all of these songs. They were at their peak then as a three piece, so it’s nice to hear what they’ve included, but it’s nothing I haven’t heard before or will sit down to listen to again.
The Hysteria demo is an interesting peek into the song’s development.
I haven no idea why that FAWY demo is included.

I'll give those demo versions and stripped down versions a listen when they appear online.
Everything else is a big meh from me.

This is the most exciting thing that happened in years! Made me come back to the board just to say it.
It’s a bit sad that the shows have become such that spontaneous moments like this are years apart. But good to know they can still whip up a classic and play like the three piece band they once were, without choreography or rehearsed theatrics. I want so much more of that please!

It’s not so much that Liberation sucks, it’s that Verona is one of the best things they’ve done in a long time and they don’t seem to know it. If they kick out Thought Contagion and replace it with Liberation then there’s no harm done.

At least I assume is Matt’s voice that needs a break. Why else would this happen?

Remember the disappointment in the old days when sometimes one or more of the b-sides to a new single would not be new songs, but rather a barely listenable remix of the a-side?

Bliss rotated in this time!
It might feel like they’re neglecting WOTP songs a bit, but I think that would be fixed by playing just one more song of the album.
Euphoria feels like it’s this album’s Blockades/Defector/Big Freeze, so it’ll probably pop up once or twice.
I can see why they don’t play Ghosts, though it should be possible to give it a place in a large stadium production, with everyone singing along. Matt could open the encore solo with this one.
I don’t care for Liberation myself, but swapping it for Thought Contagion wouldn’t be a bad move.And finally they should really put some effort into making Verona work. Ruled by Secrecy was great live, if they can make that work, they can make Verona work. I’m not sure what’s keeping them, it’s one of their best songs.

Yeah, I would have thought after the hiatus and at the proper start of the tour they’d create a brand new WOTP tour setlist. But this is like the pre-theater tour festival sets. I don’t quite understand. Mexico deserves better than Thought Contagion.
