  5. owls

i just want to say thank you a lot !

  6. I've been to most of the touristy places in Italy north of Rome. Interested in Sicily or Naples this time around - don't think he will agree, however!

  7. Yes, Cape Cod is wonderful, especially in the fall, when it's less crowded (and hot)...I lucked out there for a few years, hehe--my brother lived there and we had a free place to stay! Sadly, he's no longer there, but there are still some beautiful places to stay not far from the beach that won't kill your wallet!

Oooh Italy--I've been once, and would love to go back! Consider Venice if you end up going--nice! :D

  8. Oooh. Cape Cod. Always wanted to go there.

If we do go abroad it would probably be something like Italy or a city break.

  9. That's right, I remember you said something about him getting the hotel deals on LJ--cool! Where would you go abroad, Spain for example?

We've got a few things lined upp, all over here...trip to Ohio in July for a big party with some (well, a lot!) of Julie's MS buddies, and a trip to NYC before that for her and a MD friend coming over from Brighton, a trip to the beach maybe in early June (Ocean City on the Atlantic coast), and in the fall, also with MS friends, perhaps go up to Cape Cod! I'll be poor as a church mouse by September I'll wager! :D

  10. Good that it works, always helps!

The boy has won stays at three different five star hotels across the UK (Edinburgh, London & where he works) so we're going to have a trip to all three this summer at various points. Other than that, I am crossing my fingers for a permanent contract where I am and I will be looking to book something abroad soon. Do you have any plans to go away at all?

  11. Ah pretty good, thanks!--got a new course reserves system in place at the library, seems to be actually working, lol...any holidays this summer for you guys?

  12. Yes it is temp. I'm hoping that I can make it permanent as it is good pay for not a lot of work! Fingers crossed. How are things your end?

  13. I forget (and this is where I think I need to read up on LJ, sorry)--did you say your new job is a temporary position? I hope you get it made permanent if you like it!
