  1. Man if there's even an ounce of truth to this then merry christmas to me! And agreed, after a bizarro couple of years, it feels like time has stopped entirely. New Muse may be what I need to feel like things are back to normal (relatively).
  2. Your friendly neighborhood fest date announcer here to announce another fest date! June 23-25 at Tinderbox! All we have so far is a seeming summer fest circuit, which might not seem like much, but considering 2021 is almost over, it must be noted that we are only a month and a half from a year in which we know Muse is going to be actively active!!
  3. Seems to be an impending Manson release, particularly something Delorean related. Would be cool if this was a tie in with an announcement but I'm not banking on it.
  4. Sorry to make the 100th variation of the same comment but all these fest dates being announced I remain hopeful that they will be playing some new, recently released material. I'm not holding my breath for any singles this year, though I'm not discounting the possibility, but spring isn't that far away! I made it this far (as well as 2020, the longest year of all time), I can be patient for a few more months.
  5. Hype train will leave the station next year for sure but hoping to at least get the all aboard this year with a single. At the very least, I'm hopeful that we wont have to get too deep into 2022 before we're full steam ahead, especially since they have a handful of fest dates.
  6. No doubt! But on the bright side, maybe this is some indication that history might look kindly on the legacy of Muse! They aren't exactly held in particularly high regard these days, at least in my travels; so maybe they're a band that really benefits from nostalgia and hindsight!
  7. Mine hasn't shown up yet which is slightly concerning. Got a shipment confirmation a few weeks ago but UPS doesn't recognize the tracking number. I ordered pre-ordered the orange vinyl so if it's lost, I predict the only option is refund-town. Oh well, can't win em all! To those who have received theirs, I salute you and am living vicariously through you!
  8. On a semi-unrelated note, Pitchfork finally reviewed OoS and I must say, Iā€™m pleasantly surprised! https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/muse-origin-of-symmetry/
  9. Has me wondering how the vinyl pressing will sound. I doubt they had vinyl in mind when mixing so I can't imagine it'll make that much of a difference. Still keen to check it out.
  10. So we're theoretically looking at a June release at the latest? Hell, that's only a few months away, as far as I'm concerned! We're practically there folks!
  11. Why do you say autumn? Not that I'm complaining; listening to the new record with a pumpkin spice in hand sounds delightful! You may say I'm a dreamer
  12. *screams into pillow* Thats fine im goody goody with that šŸ˜ŽšŸ˜ŽšŸ˜ŽšŸ˜Ž
  13. "Time to crack on with a new album" Is the implication that they're ABOUT to hit the studio? Or just a sly nod to them already working on it? If it's the former, I reckon we should be anticipating a new album early NEXT year. Which is fine, I'm just going to need to take a long walk and think about things.
  14. What's John Leckie up to these days? šŸ˜JK I'm fully on board with Costey; he seems to have really good chemistry with the band, possibly the best.
  15. They've announced yet another festival date in June of next year which seems to all but confirm that a festival circuit might be coming next summer. I daren't get my hopes up, but I'm slightly more optimistic that a full tour could then be coming in the spring or fall of next year, if previous fest circuit patterns are any indication.
  16. If it's nothing more than getting them nostalgic, I'll be a happy camper. The reason Drones didn't work as a back to basics album, for me anyways, was that it had the heavy instrumentation but lacked the soul of the earlier albums. I would be interested to hear a modern sounding, poppy album that was creatively linked to their earlier work, if such a thing is even possible. Or I might be way off base. šŸ˜˜
  17. Mildly surprised Matt's gasps were left in! I don't have an issue with them personally but they seem like something that would be on Matt's chopping block! Gotta say I'm loving this version of Mega! I'm a little ashamed to admit it but this is one track that I've always considered objectively great but didn't pay much mind to but the strings are a small addition but add a lot imo.
  18. I already kinda assumed/hoped this but hearing someone else echo it really puts some coal in my hype train! Every album cycle holds some deep meaning for me and being that this will be my first album as a dad, it will almost inevitably rank highly for me. (Will also be my first tour since 2015 that I wasn't taking classes so we can actually travel if we have to. šŸ˜Ž)
  19. I feel like I have to experience GA at some point. I think it depends on who I go with and what kind of concert experience they prefer.
  20. While I am similarly reluctant about these new mixes but I must admit that I've been playing the new CE pretty much daily thanks mostly to the fact that I have really cheap ear buds for running and the cleaner, cranked up mix of CE hits just right atm.
  21. With a couple festival dates announced for next summer, it gives me just a little sliver of something to read way too much into. Often, but not always, the festival circuit is sandwiched between or is the precursor to a new tour which presupposes a new album as well. Now this could just be the band dipping their toes into playing live again but ya boi's an optimist and a dreamer...
  22. Simultaneously hoping there's a physical/vinyl release and conflicted because I just ordered the ST Tour box set. As always, Muse stays taking my money!
